00:00Where would you look for refuge if you have nowhere to go back to?
00:09That is the calvary of the citizens who were severely affected by the Super Typhoon Ulian.
00:16The GMA Kapusu Foundation continues to provide assistance under Operation Bayanihan.
00:25It has been more than a week since the Super Typhoon Ulian hit Batanes.
00:32But some residents are still in the midst of the heavy storm.
00:39Gina is the only one left in her house after the typhoon.
00:47She said she tied this, but the strong wind still couldn't do it.
00:52I could feel the wind.
00:54I already talked to my partner if it's possible for us to leave.
00:58Because if we lose our house, we won't stay.
01:01She also experienced flooding in the town of Uyugan.
01:06That's why she decided to go to her abandoned house in Bato.
01:12This is where she hid the things she saved from the typhoon.
01:17We can't live in our old house anymore because it's all destroyed.
01:22The typhoon and our house were all destroyed.
01:26Then this happened again.
01:28I couldn't get a job because I'm just a farmer.
01:33The Super Typhoon left a huge impact on the three islands of Batanes.
01:39Ang Batan, Sabtang, and Itbayat.
01:43That's why the GMA Kapuso Foundation immediately went to the affected islands
01:49to distribute food packs and drink water to 14,000 individuals.
01:56We also fed the refugees and gave medicine to the Provincial Health Office.
02:02This is a huge help because we can assure that after disaster,
02:09we can't be sure when our supplies will arrive.
02:12God bless Kapuso!
