Orchestra playing vegetables to launch West End

A production named ‘The ‘Farmonic’ Orchestra’ is set to make its debut on London’s West-End – featuring musicians playing instruments made from the vegetables found in Cornish pasties.  The London Vegetable Orchestra has collaborated with pasty maker Ginsters to perform the one-off show at the Other Palace Theatre on the 3rd November.   The band of four classically trained musicians who create music using instruments made entirely from vegetables, will be, for the first time, constructing them from swedes and potatoes for a 60-minute lunchtime performance.  Patrick Johns, from the London Vegetable Orchestra, said: “Bringing our vegetable instruments to the iconic West End is a dream come true.”  “It’s not every day you hear a swede or potato play a melody, and we’re thrilled to share this unforgettable experience with the audience.”

00:57pasty each, and possibly a chance to try their hand at a musical vegetable.
