00:30Well, looking at it, it's devastating, but the bottom line is as long as there's no life
00:45loss, things can be replaceable, but life cannot.
00:50So that's key.
00:51This is a lesson learned that if we tell people to evacuate, you need to evacuate.
00:57It's important that we leave and we stay safe, so we are grateful that there's no life loss
01:03and this can be fixed.
01:05We're currently in an apartment building on the 18th floor just a few blocks away, and
01:10of course we decided to stay and ride out the storm because commercial construction
01:14is pretty sturdy, but we were just watching everything unfold and the roof shredding off
01:22the Tropicana field.
01:26Our window space left, so we were just able to watch things going on, but we were worried
01:32about the cranes.
01:33The 400th Central will be our future home, and so it kind of hits home.
01:40It's really hard to see.
01:43I definitely didn't think that we were going to get the worst of it, which it sounds like
01:48we avoided the surge flooding, but the wind in and of itself was enough to cause the crane
01:55to fall and things were flying everywhere, doors were coming off.
02:00We heard it when it was first coming through, so we ended up going to the bathroom.
02:11As we were going to the bathroom to get cover and sit down on the floor and sit down, that's
02:17when the roof started pulling off.
02:20I started seeing outside of the house, all the windows busted out.
02:27It was devastating to the point everything from the attic went to flying around my house.
02:34The roof went to pulling off as the tornado was spinning on top of my house.
02:42I never experienced nothing like this in my life.
02:45It felt like I was in a movie.
02:50I'm very devastated from looking at how my place looks right now.
02:55It was very life-threatening.
02:56I felt like I was about to die.
02:59Tornado touched down on the other street, and it came through here and devastated everything.
03:06The roof was off, pushed houses over, everything.
03:11I was watching the news, and the news said a hurricane was coming, so get prepared for
03:15the hurricane.
03:16I tried to get prepared for the hurricane, then the tornado hit.
03:19I'm like, the tornado hit before the hurricane, that was a disaster.
03:25So I'm glad that me and my family made it out alive.
03:29We in good shape.
03:30This is a neighbor's house.
03:31I'm here helping the neighbor.
03:33I ain't even got my yard finished, but I love my neighbors like that.
03:41Alright, come on.
03:43Alright, bye.
04:11Bye.
04:12Bye.
