It took until the release of the movie's trailer for the plot of the Minecraft movie to be revealed, and it's a simple-but-effective premise. The movie will follow four outcasts who find themselves transported into the world of Minecraft and must find a way to get back to the real world. Helping them on their quest is Steve (played by Jack Black), an experienced player who knows how to manipulate the game successfully. As the movie's official synopsis suggests, the plot will see the characters trying to learn the skills in the game that they need to succeed in real life.
