Kyle Richards Admits the 'Most Challenging' Part of Filming 'RHOBH' is the 'Drama' with Her Family and Sisters

00:15By far the most challenging part has been the family stuff with my sisters.

00:22I'm the only cast member that has had family on the show.

00:25Two different sisters and, you know, my family comes with some drama.

00:31I know that a lot of families go through that, but it is very difficult when you're in the public eye

00:36and, you know, being on a TV show where you don't really have the luxury of, you know,

00:42picking and choosing what you talk about and what you show, really.

00:45So that part's been the most challenging.

00:48And the stuff with my marriage, you know, it was hard enough to go through that without the cameras,

00:56let alone with.

00:58And, like I said, I'm somebody who would have no problem sharing,

01:03but my husband was not prepared at that time to share anything,

01:07so it came off sort of strange.

01:09And that was difficult and, you know, difficult for my daughters to have to go through all that,

01:17you know, but, like I said, I got to a point where I thought,

01:23I can maybe use this to help me.

01:26And when I finally let go and just started talking more openly about it,

01:31I felt a lot better.

01:32And I was like, wait, am I using the show as therapy?

01:36Wait, am I using this to grow?

01:39So you actually can do that.

01:41And even, you know, my daughter Alexia told me that she felt like that also.

01:46Of course, it's always a little risky when you bring family into the show.

01:50So even though Kathy and I had made up and things were great, I was a little nervous, you know.

01:57When she came in last time, I thought, oh, everything's great.

02:00We would never let us get to that place again.

02:03And then, you know, here we were, all of a sudden not speaking.

02:06And it was such a painful time for me that I was, of course, hesitant,

02:10but, you know, I knew that, okay, are we really going to go through that again?

02:16I just, I don't have it in me.

02:18I really don't.

02:19And my sister Kathy has been a great source of support for me.

02:22So it was actually great that she was there.

02:26My sisters and I, when any of us are going through a difficult time,

02:31it's like the whole family weighs in.

02:33You know, everyone knows what's going on in everyone's business.

02:36It's not just the three sisters.

02:37It's, we each have four children.

02:39They all weigh in.

02:41Everyone's informed throughout the day what's going on in everybody's lives.

02:44So when any of us are struggling, you know, everyone sort of rallies together to help that person.

02:52So sometimes one may need it more than the other.

02:55But, you know, for the most part, when one of us is going through a hard time,

03:01everybody does, you know, rally and make sure that we're there for that person.
