00:30The newly appointed DILG Secretary John Vic Remulia wants to eliminate the patronage system
00:37within the Philippine National Police.
00:40This is part of the structural reforms he plans to implement.
00:45He stated that police promotions should be based on a policy of meritocracy and performance.

00:57I want to make it a merit-based system on who gets promoted and who doesn't.

02:03Island Cove was previously owned by the Remulia family.
