00:00The big story today, the Jets have fired Robert Sala, their head coach, and moved on to their

00:12defensive coordinator in the interim.

00:16In the interim, they certainly have, and yes, happy Tuesday here on Coast to Coast as we

00:21get going today.

00:22Yes, we have our first head coach chopped this year in the NFL.

00:29It only took five weeks, but Robert Sala finished 20-36, was his record as the Jets

00:38head coach, 2-3 start this year.

00:41Out the door he goes, Scottie.

00:43Couple of things that just happened now.

00:45Woody Johnson is talking on a conference call, really as we speak, in the last few minutes.

00:51He has been.

00:52A few highlights from that that I just saw is, number one, this was his decision and

00:57his decision alone.

00:58He feels like this is the best team that he's ever had there with the Jets since he's

01:02been the owner, and he wants to give them every chance to win.

01:06Says GM Joe Douglas had absolutely nothing to do with this.

01:08Also says, despite having a phone conversation with Aaron Rodgers last night, which he admits

01:14to having, he did not talk at all about firing Robert Sala with Aaron Rodgers last night.

01:19They were just talking, I guess, about what they had to eat in London or things like that.

01:23How was the flight home?

01:24That must have been the discussion he had with Aaron, because he had nothing to do with

01:27this today.

01:28Liar.

01:29I agree.

01:30I mean, I think he's a liar, too.

01:33I think that what this showed to me was that Rodgers didn't like him.

01:39From the minute we saw that weird hug on the sideline, he's like, bro, don't touch me.

01:48I've said to you on this show that Aaron Rodgers, the head coach of the Jets, I go, that guy,

01:57I'll give him this.

01:58I thought he was a decent coordinator in San Francisco.

02:02I thought he did a good job, but he had way more talent there and it made him look good.

02:07Then they brought him to New York and I mean, this guy had literally the worst record of

02:13any coach they've ever had.

02:14I mean, this guy was like literally bottom of the barrel.

02:19He just couldn't coach.

02:20He's not a head coach.

02:22If you hire him now as a head coach, buyer beware.

02:26I mean, he's just not cut out for being a head coach.

02:29I don't know what it was about him.

02:31He just didn't get it done at all, ever.

02:33All they did was lose.

02:34All they've ever done is lose.

02:36They're losing now.

02:38I think it's a good move to get rid of him.

02:41He's never done this before, Woody, in a season, in the middle of a season, fired a coach,
