Hezbollah says its capabilities intact, Israeli UN envoy not optimistic about ceasefire

Hezbollah's deputy leader Sheikh Naim Qassem on Oct 8 said their capabilities are intact and its fighters are pushing back Israeli ground incursions despite the "painful blows" inflicted by Israel in recent weeks.  Israeli Permanent Representative to the United Nations Danny Danon said it will be a “miracle” for the war in the Middle East to end as long as Hamas did not release the Israeli hostages. 00:00This large gathering by the Israeli enemy, and with it America and Western countries,

00:12all of them are trying to pressure us to fear, but we will not fear, nor will we fear.

00:24They want to kill everyone who stands in their way, everyone who says we have rights.

00:33They want to humiliate all the countries and nations for their policies and orders.

00:43This will not happen.

00:45Iran has provided clear and well-known support to the resistance in Palestine, Lebanon and the region.

00:55This is what we are proud of.

00:57It is an honor and dignity for Iran to help Palestinians to reclaim their rights.

01:08I would like to reassure you.

01:12Our capabilities are good.

01:15What the enemy said about our capabilities is a delusion.

01:41We are deploying all necessary capabilities against our enemies, both in defense and offense.

01:46And I can tell Iran and their proxies, they should know, we will decide when and where, but there will be our response.

01:56We will continue to negotiate for a ceasefire, and at the same time we will apply more pressure.

02:02We know that there were some issues with Mr. Sinwar, who is hiding in the tunnels,

02:08but we hope that we will be able to continue the negotiations with the support of those countries who are ending the negotiations.

02:16Well, that would be a miracle, and I think it will end our activities in Gaza.

02:23So basically it can happen tomorrow morning if Hamas would release the hostages,

02:27but unfortunately I am not optimistic about that taking place.

02:32Knowing the character that we are dealing with and what is happening now in Gaza,

02:37I am not optimistic that all of a sudden Hamas will decide to release the hostages.
