NBA PRESEASON FINAL: Grizzlies Edge Mavericks, 121-116

In their first preseason game, the Dallas Mavericks fell to the Memphis Grizzlies 121-116 in a tightly contested battle on Monday night. Even without key players like Luka Dončić, Kyrie Irving, Klay Thompson, and P.J. Washington the Mavericks put up a strong fight, giving their young players a chance to shine.

One of the standout performances came from Jaden Hardy, who led the Mavericks with 21 points, 3 rebounds, and 9 assists, showcasing his shooting range by nailing five three-pointers. Hardy’s ability to both score and facilitate the offense provided a bright spot for Dallas in this first look at their preseason roster.

Rookie center Dereck Lively II also had an impressive debut, finishing with 12 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 assists. Lively’s energy and presence in the paint were felt on both ends of the floor, and his contributions further solidify the Mavericks’ investment in their young core.

For the Grizzlies, Brandon Clarke led with 17 points, 1 rebound, and 4 assists, helping Memphis pull away in the final moments after several lead changes throughout the game.
