00:08Jennifer Hudson is playfully confronting her man Common about his marriage plans.

00:13He made the comments during a July interview with The Breakfast Club.

00:16Now on the October 3rd episode of The Jennifer Hudson Show, Common doubled down on the idea

00:21of being the singer's husband.

00:23You know what?

00:24You told me a quote that your mother said, a man knows what he wants.

00:29I was just saying my true feelings about, listen, Jennifer is the person, if I should

00:37be married, it will be to Jennifer Tate Hudson.

00:42I was just being honest.

00:46My mother was right.

00:48I think if she had met you, she said, I don't know about the rest of them, but that Common

00:51is all right with me.

00:52That's what she would say.

00:54The two confirmed their relationship in January of this year after sparking dating rumors

00:58in August of 2022.

01:53joy and creating love and, and like embracing the grace that exists.

01:57So this is somebody, you know, and it's something, man, you kind of, when you with somebody who's

02:02from where you from, it's a different kind of connection to, um, that's, that's something

02:07else.

02:08But I mean, she's from where I'm from spiritually.

02:11She's from where I'm from, from like, from where we geographically come from the shot

02:17and, you know, just from where I'm from as a person, like one of the things that, that

02:20I felt was before we even started was together, we were doing this movie and, um, this security

02:27guy said to me, he was, I came to the set, he was like, man, you and Jennifer Hudson,

02:32two of the coolest celebrities I ever met, man.

02:34I was like, what, for real?

02:35He's like, nah, y'all real cool.

02:37And he was like, she just bought this ice cream for all these people here on the set.

02:40And I was like, man, I just like people to treat people good.

02:44That's part of home too for me.
