00:00I am Chris Garnerial, one of the nominees for the Evoction Party List.
00:15I am accompanied by June Bloom, our Secretary-General, Mike Ang, and Aldrin Carrillo.
00:24We are the nominees and members of the Evoction Party List.
00:30And as the name suggests, our advocacy is in the field of co-innovation.
00:39One of our plans is to reduce the curriculum such that college will end in 4 years instead of 3 years.
00:57Those 3 years will be made up of 2 years of classroom learning and 1 year coaching.
01:06Thank you very much.
01:08The reduction of the curriculum of college from 4 to 3 is basically achievable by reducing or not anymore covering general innovation subjects
01:20which have already been taken up during the basic innovation, secondary innovation.
01:25Examples of which are Filipino, natural science, and general innovation subjects.
01:31And we should be focusing rather on core subjects specifically made for the specific course.
01:39Now the advantages are more economic because we all know that teaching in college for 4 years is expensive.
01:50So the benefit for the country and its communities is that we can easily have our young men and women enter the job market.
02:02If they finish it within 3 years, they can join the job market.
02:06In fact, after the 2 year classroom learning, we are already loaning them for the job market to that 1 year coaching period for the 3rd year.
