00:00Over the last few weeks I've spoken to colleagues of all political persuasions

00:04and there is definitely an appetite to have this debate now and I do think the

00:08mood has changed. I think the mood has changed publicly and I think it probably

00:11has changed within Parliament so I have spoken to quite a lot of the new intake

00:13of MPs and they think the time is right to have this debate. They are nervous in

00:19some respects as am I because it's such an important issue and it's such an

00:23emotive issue but I think the consensus is that the time is right to have that

00:27debate and discussion and I really hope that for my part I can facilitate that

00:32in what is a respectful and compassionate way.
