00:04with the Philippines Sambo Team

00:06where they defeated the Filipino Samboist in their respective category events in Nagoya, Japan.

00:12This is Paolo Salamatin's report.

00:16The 2020 Southeast Asian Games gold medalist Chino C. Tangkontian

00:20won a gold medal in the Men's Blue Belt Adult Super Heavy Division

00:24while Godwin Langbayan won two gold medals

00:28in the Men's Master 1GI and NoGI 76 and 78kg event

00:32just after the World Jiu-Jitsu Championship in Nagoya, Japan.

00:36Aside from Chino Tangkontian and Chino Langbayan,

00:38the Philippines also won seven gold medals in the competition

00:42including 11 silver medals and 25 bronze medals.

00:45In PTV Sports, the Philippine Sambo Federation President Paolo Tangkontian

00:51made it historical for Chino Tangkontian to win a gold medal in the competition

00:55where it was his first time playing Jiu-Jitsu in a combat style.

01:01It was a total domination because it was an experience.

01:05It was one of the fundamental experiences.

01:09We were able to win even against other equipments.

01:16It was like a fish cross.

01:20If there is an available tournament, we can join.

01:24The Philippine Sambo Federation President added that this was one of their preparations

01:28for Chino and the whole team to expose them to all the world competitions

01:33instead of exposing them to the local tournaments that they usually win.

01:39You will be able to gauge how good you are,

01:45what level you are at, if you play with a lot of different people.

01:50After the competition, Chino and his brother, Sydney,

01:56will continue their training as a line-up for the competition

02:00that they will join this year for ASAP

02:03to qualify for the Los Angeles Olympics in 2028.
