00:00I can't remember when I wasn't coming down here.

00:15My dad brought me down here when I was about two or three years of age.

00:20I learned to swim in that pool.

00:27Summer, a lot of tourists.

00:40A lot of non-swimmers.

00:41I turned 90 in March.

00:42I've just completed 59 swimming seasons.

00:44I call it my church.

00:45It's a passion for me.

00:46My higher powers are out there you know.

00:50These guys are social swimmers, ex-Olympians, ex-Pom game swimmers.

01:00I might be competitive with myself but I'm not really competing.

01:11Yes you are.

01:13There is not another pool like this pool.

01:17No.

01:18There is other water, but it's not the same as this.

01:21While I'm in there with other people, I can have my own moments, really magical moments.

01:29It just all encompasses a beautiful feeling of belonging, acceptance.

01:34We're all seen as equals, even though we all look incredibly different.

01:39The club itself, millionaires and paupers, you're all the same and you're swimmers.

01:46I've travelled the world and I've never seen anything better than this.
