00:00No matter what happens this weekend, the Vikings will still be in first place all by themselves

00:07because the Lions have a bye.

00:08So they'll be there at three and one, even if the Vikings lose to the Jets over in Europe,

00:12they'll still be four and one for whatever that's worth.

00:15They do play in two weeks.

00:16They got Dallas after the bye Detroit, and then they play at Minnesota and that'll be

00:20the big one.

00:21Are we ready to buy into Minnesota?

00:22I mean, it's hard not to, right?

00:24I mean, especially when you look at some of these other NFC teams that we thought, you

00:28know, San Francisco, maybe having a little bit of a hiccup, but I do think in the end

00:31they'll be there.

00:32But the Lions struggling, we thought maybe they would be halfway decent.

00:34The Eagles are a mess, you know, maybe things will get better when everyone gets healthy,

00:38but it's hard not to even the pessimist, you know, should still be able to buy into Minnesota

00:43considering bad.

00:44They don't even have TJ Hawkinson.

00:45I mean, as good as that offense is, well, when they get him and put him at the tight

00:50end position, as long as Addison can stay out of the police blotter, I mean, that, that

00:54is a, we talked about this though, right?

00:56When we were discussing JJ McCarthy and Sam Darnold, you know, we, we said what, you know,

01:01Sam Darnold in that offense with those players, there's a pretty good chance he'll do halfway

01:05decent.

01:06We weren't too sure about the defense, but offensively there weren't really that many

01:09question marks.

01:11And he's obviously come through, you know, is he going to win on a big time level?

01:14Is he going to win Ben when the season is in crunch time three, four weeks and all the

01:19pressure really, you know, that, that we're going to have to see, and that I still want

01:23to see.

01:24And that's why I still think the Lions are going to win the division.

01:27There's no doubt about it, Scott.

01:28And I think there is value in backing Detroit to win this division because they're going

01:32to be there step for step with Minnesota, even if the Vikings keep on this drastic pace.

01:37But is this a Cinderella's glass slipper type scenario for Kevin O'Connell, Sam Darnold

01:42and Minnesota?

01:44Are they going to be a double digit win team when the year comes to a close?

01:48The updated wind total now for the Vikings, 11 and a half, the under has the juice.

01:52It was seven and a hook before the year got underway.

01:57But Scott, it's really hard to fault Minnesota.

01:59It's not a faulty four and oh, it's not beating up on bad teams or a couple of fluke wins.

02:04This is a team that has earned every bit of that four and oh start.

02:08Not only just four and oh straight up one of two remaining undefeated sides along with

02:12Casey, the only team that is perfect against the spread in the NFL in their last three

02:17wins outright as an underdog.

02:20Minnesota will be a favorite again for just the second time this year in the first, since

02:24the opening Sunday of the season in London against the jets.

02:29Is this a time to come back down to earth ever so slightly that we shall discuss a little

02:34bit later on.

02:35But Sam Darnold's got fifth best price to win the NFL MVP award at 11 to one.

02:40He leads the NFL in passing touchdowns.

02:43He's got 11.

02:44He's the only guy with nine or more so far this season.

02:48But I did say this before the year because I think the greatest off season move the Detroit

02:52Lions made, making sure Ben Johnson was still their offensive coordinator.

02:57And I think you can look at Jared Goff's number.

02:59It was 50 to one before the year, 45 to one in certain spots.

03:03Now 20 to one ninth best price if he continues to play as efficient as he did last night.

03:09And the Lions offense wasn't great to start the year in their opening three games.

03:14In fact, Scott to 40 and a half was golf passing prop last night against Seattle.

03:19The only time he had gone over that in the opening three weeks was their one loss of

03:22the year against Tampa, and he didn't throw a touchdown pass and two interceptions in

03:27that game.

03:28So it was good to see Detroit win a game and look really good offensively doing so.
