00:00The situation is calmer today in Comeric NCR in San Juan City,

00:04which is the designated location for the COC to invite

00:08those who want to run for congressman in Metro Manila.

00:12The aspirants have already invited their platform.

00:16Here's Mela Lasmora's report.

00:19Compared to the first day of the invitation of the Certificate of Candidacy

00:24for the congressman in Metro Manila,

00:26the situation here in Comeric NCR is calmer

00:30now that it's day 2 of the COC filing.

00:33Even though, as usual,

00:34the enthusiasm and support of some groups to some aspirants is still there.

00:49Just like in Caloocan City,

00:51First District Representative Oscar Malapitan,

00:53who also invited his COC to invite another candidate in the same position.

00:59Malapitan said that if he will be elected again,

01:01there are particular bills that he wants to pass.

01:05I am concentrated on our local bills.

01:10I have a lot of local bills that I want to pass.

01:14And it depends on the committee that I will run in the 20th Congress.

01:22Aside from that,

01:23the COC and its co-sponsors are expecting to face

01:28in the election for Malabon's Loan District,

01:30former Malabon Mayor Lenlen Oreta

01:33and former congressman Ricky Sandoval.

01:35Sandoval's gate may the best man win

01:38along with the expansion of their platform.

01:41I can apply all the things I learned as a mayor in the Congress.

01:45So that we can make legislation that can help

01:48not only in Malabon but in the whole Philippines.

01:50I'm sure there will be more stunting in Malabon.

01:52We want to do that because we don't want stunting in the Philippines.

01:57Our flood control system is well-organized

02:00that the national government can bring.

02:03We have to improve on our schools.

02:04And really, we have a lot to give to the people of Malabon.

02:11In total, the COC has already invited 21 people

02:14for the congressman in Metro Manila.

02:17According to Comelec NCR,

02:19they are expecting more COC filers in the next few days,

02:23especially on October 8, the last day of the filing schedule.

02:27Considering that we have 33 congressional districts

02:32in the entire NCR,

02:34so there's still a lot that we are expecting to receive

02:37in the next days of the filing of the COC.
