00:00Hi, I'm Theo with Manchester World. Today I'm out in the streets of Manchester asking people about
00:03the upcoming winter budget. Now the reason for that is there's a lot of talk around it,
00:07essentially. A lot of people would argue that Labour have been quite doom and gloom,
00:11talking a lot about holes in the budget and the financial situation being worse than they expected,
00:15while others are trying to argue that the adults are back in the room and they're being sensible.
00:19Just to give us a bit more hope, especially in the whole climate.
00:21Everyone's also got hope for the future, you know.
00:24Not in every community, but in somewhere it's important
00:27to better support care systems and to not cut things that people need like heat during the
00:31winter. It's unfair and kind of the wrong way to go, I think.
00:37I understand why they're taking things carefully,
00:40but I do think, you know, if they want to commit to a scheme that they said, you know,
00:45could have an impact on people, they probably just do need to just go for it
00:49in terms of getting the response they want.
00:51I mean, there's plenty of homeless people around here at the moment. I mean, I'm sure they benefit
00:55from places where they could go, places where they could get food.
