00:00In Nepal, rescuers on Tuesday searched for missing people and tried to recover the bodies

00:04of some of the 200 killed in flooding and landslides.

00:08The work continued to improve, and workers were clearing the highways that were blocked

00:12by landslides.

00:13Nepal police said the death toll by Tuesday had reached 217, while 143 people had been

00:19injured.

00:20There were still 28 people who were reported missing, and searches were continuing for

00:24them.

00:25Schools and colleges were closed until Tuesday to help clean up the premises and to give

00:29students time to recover.

00:31The disaster came just ahead of the country's biggest festival, Dasain, which begins on

00:35Thursday when the people return home to celebrate with their families.
