00:00The experience has been very exciting, very complex, from a few points of view, because participating as a jury to select the drawings for the Bermantello Coffee and Bourbon Coffee Contest was particular,
00:20above all because we have come into contact with the creativity, not so much of adults, since I am a professional illustrator, adult, and it is a whole other type of creativity, it is not so studied, a little more articulated,
00:35the creativity of the children is much more, I would say maybe fresh, I would say more interesting from a point of view also metaphorical, let's put it that way.
00:47It was an emotion to see all the drawings, the drawings of all the children, of all the Onlus, and how they interpreted the general concept, that of the daily hero.
00:59It is not absolutely simple, I can say it from experience, to be able to transform a concept into a drawing as abstract as it can be that of an everyday hero, a daily hero.
01:11So it was great to get in touch with the stories drawn by all these children, to see how everyone poured their creativity into their idea of hero,
01:24from the family, there are people who have described super families, with super heroes, super families, with super powers that support them, that protect them.
01:35I remember that there was the superheroine of Peace, who is the sister of a girl who participated in the contest.
01:43There were also hairy family members, so Tako, this dog that they drew as a daily hero that helped the boy every day.
01:54Or best friends, or police, or firefighters, there were also some who put nature as a daily hero.
02:04So let's say it was very exciting to see these fresher interpretation keys of children, which for us are perhaps much more difficult to reach.
02:15What led me to choose the winning drawings is very difficult to explain, because it is really very difficult.
02:21Let's say there were some evaluation criteria, among which the adherence to the brief, now we speak from a more professional point of view,
02:34the possibility to print the drawing well in the interest of the box.
02:42For the rest, it is a bit of emotion to see this, of those who managed to represent in a more joyful way, more happy,
02:50maybe even of the situations that were ordinary for us, which for them are extraordinary.
