00:00I'm only 20, so I've not been to a conference before, but yeah, it's a good laugh.

00:05I'm very, very happy to see not just how many people have come, but how many young people have come.

00:11I think the youngest I've come across here so far is 15, as young conservatives.

00:16We need to sort of explain to and try and talk around and convince the people in our own peer group,

00:24because, you know, even if we were winning by a massive majority, which we're not,

00:29the vast majority of our voters are older and eventually they won't be around.

00:34So we do need the next generation to support us.

00:38I think that, like I said earlier, convincing them that we are doing it for them,

00:44not doing it for the power or doing it for the money, that's paramount.

00:48You need to convince them that you're a good person before you try and shove policy down their throat.

00:52So socialising, getting out, speaking to people, going to the pub,

00:57going to little social events and just talking to people

00:59and showing that you're a normal person is a really important element of rebuilding.

01:03We need to be popular, we need to win the people back.

01:06Something that I think Cleverley might have said earlier was

01:11even the most flawless, perfect product in the world will not be bought if the salesperson is an arse.

01:18So we need to rebuild our reputation and then we can start going into policy.
