00:002.35 a.m. Dougie is born.

00:09Oh Mary, it's a boy!

00:14Most babies scream when they're born.

00:18When Dougie was born, he scratched his head.

00:3120 years later, nothing much had changed.

00:35My mother had walked out on us when Dougie was only 10 years old,

00:38leaving Dad and I to do our very best to take care of him.

00:44My Dad was fast losing his patience.

00:49Until one day, Dad finally lost control.

01:00You see, Dad came of a time where a couple of good blows to the chin

01:03sort of took off himself.

01:05Unfortunately, this only made Dougie scratch his head even more.

01:09So then Dad would hit Dougie again and again,

01:11hitting Dougie harder than he'd ever done before in his life.

01:14But still, Dougie scratched.

01:19Eventually, Dad started to hit Dougie so fucking hard, his fists would bleed.

01:24He'd almost given up, but that's when he came up with Plan B.

01:29Plan B was tying Dougie to his chair.

01:33It was a bloody awful thing to do, but it seemed to work.

01:37You could see Dougie wasn't enjoying the experience.

01:40He just wasn't himself.

01:43And it took three months for Dougie to finally realise

01:45that there was a solution to Plan B.

01:53And there he was, back in motion, scratching his head, filled with pleasure.

02:07Good things never last, my Dad used to say.

02:11And he was right.

02:14But no one, no one could have predicted what Dad was about to do next.

02:54Don't get me wrong, Dad wasn't a bad man.

02:57He was just someone who badly wanted things to change.

03:00Someone who battled with 20 years of frustration, only to lose at the last moment.

03:05For things were about to change, and for the worst.

03:23When I saw what Dougie had done, I knew what I had to do.

03:51But it wasn't easy, and I'm not sure entirely successful.

03:54Making Dad's death look like he drowned himself in the lavatory

03:57was the first idea that came into my head.

04:00What a way to go.

04:02And as for Dougie, well, it's like they say,

04:06bad habits are hard to break.
