00:00Every year I make my daughter's Christmas presents. She gets a few items that are brand new, but most everything is thrifted or handmade
00:05So here's what I've made so far
00:07So the last two years she has requested something crocheted by me that I love and this year she asked for a turtle that could
00:14Have eggs inside of it. So what she doesn't know is that I have making it to where they can hatch
00:19So all she thinks that she's getting is a couple
00:22Plain white eggs and a couple little baby tortoises and then I thrifted this fancy Nancy fabric for about a dollar dollar fifty
00:29I thrifted a bag of random scraps and there was a pretty good size blue in the bag
00:33And so this is probably like I don't know
00:35I paid like three dollars for all of the fabric altogether, but used not even like a sixth of the fabric
00:40Two years ago. I made my daughter some under-the-sea characters out of felt that I didn't even know what I was doing
00:46I just hand-stitched things
00:48And made her a bunch of under-the-sea characters like a stingray, a creepy little mermaid, her face scares me, but my daughter loves it
00:54Shell, octopus, and I had no idea what I was doing and they have lasted two years of full-time playing felt cost me like
01:00$5.99 for a massive stack. Last year for Christmas, I made my first like crocheting toy
01:05And then something else you can make is a teeny tiny granny square blanket for baby dolls or Barbies or make rugs for dollhouses
01:11My very first things I did for my daughter ever was make a little baby carrier. This you can find on Pinterest
01:16Just type in crocheted baby carrier and this was a free pattern
01:19She just wears it over her shoulders like this on her chest and the baby sits right here and she can walk around like you
01:24You know with the baby. Are you kidding? I'm obsessed with it. I made so many people these
01:27It's a little baby bonnet and it ties around the chin right here
01:30And then she folds it up and then because she loved it so much after I learned the proper sizing for the pattern a bigger
01:35One that's like at that kind of elf looking fairy ones that have a point on the top
01:38So my daughter wears that while she's playing with this baby and they match
01:42It's ridiculously cute did not follow a pattern for this either
01:44But I wanted something that kind of matched together so she could have a little diaper bag
01:48That she puts like baby things in but now it's turned into a snack bag
01:51So if she's going into town with me instead of throwing snacks in my purse
01:54She will carry this around and put her own snacks in it scrap fabric and make little doll
01:58Blankets and pillows my mom made my daughter this blanket this pillow to match a blanket and pillow that she made for my daughter's bed
02:05Look up free patterns for crochet clothes watched on the other video app and you just follow along step-by-step
02:11It was so easy buttons. I got from the thrift store as well in a big bag
02:15This probably cost me $2 to make and I found another little free pattern on that
02:18I'm a video app and make this little cardigan it goes over dresses
02:22Another fun thing is thrifting toys and then personalizing it for your child who bought this before I was pregnant with my daughter
02:27I would personalize it for their nursery. So this is my daughter and I got this for like $5. It's an old Ford van
02:34It's all spider webbed up
02:35But I painted little flowers to match her bedroom could totally do this for kids for their toys or for bedroom decor
02:43Super cute, but push yourself out of your own boundaries and it's okay to fail because without failing on all of my things I've done
02:49I would not have been able to make anything that I've shown you in any of these videos a chaotic crafter
02:53Just just like everything else I do pure chaos
