00:00Tutankhamun was the most famous pharaoh of Egypt.
00:05More than his life, after his death in 1922, a strange event shook the world.
00:17It is said that Pharaoh Tutankhamun had a curse on his grave.
00:21If anyone opens his grave, that curse will take his life.
00:25There was such an incident after his death, when Tutankhamun's grave was found.
00:30It is said that the curse took the life of those who were looking for his grave.
00:36After hearing all this, the famous movie of Hollywood comes to mind.
00:41One of the best characters of that movie, Imhotep, was shown to be a curse.
00:45But in real life, this story was inspired by that pharaoh, whose name was Tutankhamun.
00:51Today we will talk about the same shocking incident.
00:54The story begins in London on 9 May 1874, where a child was born, named Howard Carter.
01:03Howard Carter belonged to a very poor family.
01:06Howard Carter's father, Samuel John Carter, was a painter by profession.
01:10Now let's fast forward the story a bit.
01:12Now the year is 1921, a year before the incident.
01:17Howard Carter had become a very good archaeologist on the basis of his brain and hard work.
01:22He was hired by George Carnarvon to go to Egypt with him,
01:27so that they could find Tutankhamun's grave together
01:31and also get the most precious treasure buried in it.
01:38Finally, Howard Carter reached Egypt.
01:41And where he was afraid of the grave, he started digging.
01:47Neither did he know much about Egypt's history, nor about Tutankhamun.
01:52Now a year passes, but no success has been achieved so far.
01:56Due to the lack of funds, Howard Carter had to think of returning.
02:02But in the last days of his excavation, he started digging a place while making one last attempt.
02:08And from here the story takes a new turn.
02:13After 10 days of digging, they find those rooms under the ground
02:17where Pharaoh Tutankhamun was buried as the mother of Egypt.
02:21When they entered the rooms below, they saw that Pharaoh Tutankhamun's grave
02:26was smaller in size than the graves of all the other kings of Egypt.
02:30Tutankhamun was buried in that small room for more than 3000 years.
02:36And his relatives' paintings were made on the walls of the room.
02:413000 years ago.
02:43That means 1300 years before Queen Cleopatra.
02:50Tutankhamun was a weak child from childhood.
02:52Due to being very sick, he was constantly limping.
02:56That's why his mother had made 322 gold bars for him,
03:00which were buried with him in his grave.
03:03When he grew up, according to Egyptian tradition,
03:06he married his sister Ankhai Senuman.
03:10And became the Pharaoh of Egypt.
03:12One day, Tutankhamun was riding a horse-drawn chariot.
03:16But for some reason he fell off the chariot.
03:19And instead of going ahead, the chariot passed over him from behind.
03:24Because of which one of his legs broke and he died within a few days.
03:29When he died, he was 18 years old.
03:32Tutankhamun was buried in 3 types of special gold coffins.
03:37Year 1922
03:39Now Tutankhamun's coffin was taken out.
03:42As soon as he saw his coffin, terror spread among the people there.
03:46Because they believed that Tutankhamun was a cursed pharaoh.
03:50And that curse will also affect the one who opened his coffin.
03:53But Howard Carter did not believe in all this.
03:56He opened the coffin with the help of the people there and his team.
04:01But out of those who opened the coffin,
04:0313 people died in a very short time.
04:09Among them were Archaeologists Arthur Mayes,
04:12Radiologists Archibald Douglas,
04:14Aubrey Herbert,
04:16Lady Almena Carnoboran,
04:19George J. Gould.
04:21All these people died of heart attacks, car accidents,
04:25and snake bites.
04:28After the death of all these people,
04:30Prince Ali Fahmi of the Royal Egyptian family came to power.
04:33His beloved wife shot him.
04:36Then George Carnoboran,
04:38who had brought Howard Carter to Egypt,
04:40also suffered from breathing problems,
04:42due to which he also died soon.
04:45But Howard Carter, who touched the grave first,
04:48was the only person who lived for 16 years
04:51and died of natural causes.
04:53This was the incident related to Tutankhamun's curse.
04:56Was it a curse or a myth?
