Polls open in Austria's parliamentary elections with far-right tipped to win

The Freedom Party is set to win a national election for the first time in its history as it taps into voters' anxieties about immigration, inflation and the war in Ukraine.

00:29At his campaign rally, he ruled out a coalition with the Freedom Party, and urged supporters

00:34to vote for him to prevent the far-right from coming to power.

00:40The social democratic party headed by Andreas Babler are polling in third place, and have

00:45also ruled out teaming up with the Freedom Party, calling them a threat to democracy.

00:51Rounding out the top five are the liberal NAOS party, who are neck and neck with junior
