00:00Dengue Fever is caused by the bite of a particular mosquito, which is also called Aedes mosquito.

00:10This mosquito is black in color and has white stripes on it.

00:15There are two types of this mosquito.

00:17One is called Aedes albopictus and the other is called Aedes aegypti.

00:23Aedes albopictus has a thick white line just behind its head.

00:29While Aedes aegypti has two white stripes just behind its head.

00:34And on both sides, there is a straight white line.

00:39Mosquitoes lay eggs of black color in the water or in humid places, which are difficult to see with the naked eye.

00:47After getting water, these eggs give birth to babies in three days, which are called larvae.

00:54Larvae have the shape of nests, which can be seen swimming fast in the water.

01:00These larvae use the tube on their body, which is called a siphon, to breathe.

01:07And breathe through the tube and go down again.

01:11This siphon tube can be used to identify Dengue mosquito larvae.

01:17Dengue mosquito larvae's siphon tube is thicker, smaller and blacker than other mosquitoes.

01:24Mosquito larvae take the same shape within 7-10 days, which is called pupa.

01:32Mosquito pupa lives in water and turns into adult mosquito after 1.5 days.

01:42After mating, the female mosquito sucks the blood of humans and then lays eggs in the water.
