Fans urged to allow plenty of travel time with crowds at Sydney airport ahead of AFL grand final

It's the eve of the biggest day on the AFL calendar with the Brisbane Lions up against the Sydney Swans at the MCG tomorrow. Passengers flying out of Sydney are being urged to allow plenty of travel time.

00:00Well, it's going to be a busy day here at Sydney Domestic Airport.

00:05We're expecting to see 80,000 passengers travel through this airport today, given we are on

00:11the eve of the AFL Grand Final, but also we're reaching the start of the school holiday.

00:17So it's going to be absolutely busy here at the airport today.

00:21A lot of Sydney fans in the house as well, a lot of people wandering around with their

00:25scarves and their hats, trying to catch their flights, trying to catch the parade this afternoon

00:29in Melbourne, or so they are trying to catch the Grand Final if they're lucky enough to

00:34have tickets.

00:35In terms of the Sydney Swans, things are looking pretty good for them, although anything can

00:39happen in a match against the Brisbane Lions.

00:41The Sydney Swans have had really good form this season, a bit of a lull in the back half,

00:45but they've really picked up their game.

00:47In terms of the Sydney Swans' captain though, Callum Mills, we heard earlier this week,

00:51has ruled out of playing, which is a huge blow to the team, as well as Taylor Adams,

00:56which is a bit of a disappointment, but nevertheless, the Swans will push through.

01:02We managed to catch up with a few people waiting in lines to their flight to Melbourne to catch

01:07the game.
