00:00All right, let's start tonight's games, like I said, several with significance.

00:09Really the Phillies now are just playing to be the one in the NL, Scotty.

00:13And I got to tell you, the other reason I put this here is, I don't know what kind of

00:16shape they're going to be in tonight either, after all the partying that they did, winning

00:20the NL lease.

00:21The Steel Mills going for the Cubbies, Tanner Banks is starting for the Phillies.

00:26It's a pick'em right now, minus ten both ways, with a seven and a half total.

00:31Well, all these teams that, you know, drink all night when they, you know, clinch and

00:38make the playoffs and they hit it hard, they lose the next game they play.

00:43So I'm going to go with the Cubs.

00:46That's what I was thinking too, for that game tonight.

00:48The Guardians can still get the number one spot in the American League, 90 and 67.

00:53They're two games back in the Yankees with six to play.

00:57Today, we'll send Tanner Bibby tonight, Carson Spires goes for the Reds, which I know we

01:01had a lot going on yesterday, I forgot to mention to you, they chopped their manager

01:06already, David Bell.

01:07They sent him out the door, so the Reds will be looking for a new manager in a week's time.

01:11Minus 190 for Cleveland, plus 160 for the Reds, and an eight and a half.

01:21I put the Pirates on the board today, Scotty, only because I did want to bring up the story

01:26that me and you talked about off the air, which was that the Pirates today released

01:32Rowdy Tellez and Michael Taylor.

01:34Now the Tellez is significant, now the Pirates obviously didn't say this, but some guys did

01:38some digging to cover the team.

01:40Tellez was four at-bats away from a $200,000 bonus that he had in his contract.

01:47425 at-bats, 200 grand, he had 421, and the Pirates sent them home and they called up

01:52a couple young kids for the last six games of the season.

01:57Probably not the way to do it, Scotty, honestly, but that's the Pirates.

02:02I mean, that's embarrassing.

02:04So tonight the Brewers will go in there and spank their ass.

02:21The Royals have a seven-game losing streak, and they are clinging to Nats.

03:28Yeah, I'd run line it at plus 122 to dust them off, finish them, beat them by a few

03:36runs in Yankee Stadium, and that'll be the end of it, and then they can have another

03:40celebration.

03:42Orioles haven't played well, so take advantage of them tonight with Schmitt and do it.

03:47Judge, four for 13 with three homers off of Kramer in his career, Scotty, in case you

03:52wanted to be involved tonight with some long balls.

03:55I like Judge tonight against Kramer.

03:57That seems like a pretty good one to me.

03:59The Mets and the Braves, probably the biggest series here over the next three days when

04:05you're talking about playoff implications.

04:07They play game one in Atlanta.

04:09Luis Severino and Spencer Schwellenbach are the starters here.

04:14Minus 145 for the Braves, plus a buck twenty for the Mets, and a seven and a half.

04:19I can't believe the price on the Mets and Severino.

04:23I think he's been really outstanding, and he's 11-6 with a 3-7 ERA.

04:30He's got way better numbers, if you ask me, than this kid going for the Braves.

04:36I'll take that price.

04:37The way they've been hot, the way they've been winning, how badly they want it.

04:42They want to go in there and win this series.

04:44Get at least two of these games.

04:46Don't go in there and get swept.

04:48That would be a death knell.

04:50I'm going to take Severino and the plus money on the Mets side.

04:57I like the Mets tonight, actually, to get that done.

04:59And the next couple days, Scotty, are going to be very tricky down there.

05:03You got that hurricane coming up through the southeast.

05:07They might not get in both of those games, Wednesday and Thursday, down in Atlanta, which

05:12makes things sticky.

05:15If they're both still alive come Sunday, they might have to either play another game Monday.

05:20There's some talk, maybe, of trying to squeeze a doubleheader in tomorrow or Thursday.

05:25So they got a lot of things going with the weather down there in Atlanta that we have

05:28to keep our eyes on the next few days.

05:30Minnesota still in the mix on the American League side.

05:34They have the fish coming into town tonight.

05:36Ryan Weathers and Bailey Ober minus $240 for the Twins, who have been awful lately, plus

05:41$200 for the Marlins and an eight and a half.

05:44Well, I think this is huge for the Twins, and Ober has to come through.

05:50I think that's why the price is so high, and I think you got to take them.

05:54I'm not going to pay that juice, so I'd run line it at minus $1.10 and go for it.

06:00They have to win this game tonight, and the Marlins stink.

06:03They're playing at home.

06:04They got their best pitcher basically going in the game.

06:07It all lines up for me on the run line.

06:10We've talked so much about how the Tigers are playing the White Sox this weekend to

06:13finish off the season and those three easy games that they have.

06:18The Twins playing the Marlins at home, and I'll even throw Kansas City playing the Nationals,

06:24Scotty.

06:25You have to sweep those series if you're Minnesota and Kansas City.

06:30You have to.

06:31You have to sweep them if you're actually serious about making the playoffs.

06:33The Astros will try again to win the AL West tonight with Frambois Valdez.

06:38It'll be Logan what's eating Gilbert Grape for Seattle, minus $1.45 Houston, plus $1.20

06:44for the Mariners, and a six and a half tonight.

06:47Look out.

06:48I mean, Seattle's got the pitchers, don't they?

06:51They really do.

06:52It's amazing to me that they're not in the playoffs.

06:57They're on the outside looking in, and at the beginning of the year and all year they

07:01led that division until the Astros passed them, and Seattle does have filthy pitching,

07:07but it's not what gets it done always.

07:10You got to have guys that drive in runs.

07:13They got to score runs.

07:15They got to play defense, and their pitching was really good, but nothing else clicked,

07:20and then they blew the division.

07:22They won last night.

07:23They had to.

07:24I don't think they beat Valdez tonight at Minute Maid.

07:27I'm going to go back with the Astros here.

07:31Diamondbacks need to get off the deck after losing to the Giants last night.

07:34The problem is, Scotty, they're going to see Logan Webb tonight in Arizona.

07:37Brandon Fott goes for the Snakes, who are minus $1.50, plus $1.25 for San Francisco,

07:43and an eight and a half.

07:45Yeah, you know, I don't deny that Logan Webb is good.

07:49I think he's a lot better when he pitches at Oracle than when he's on the road.

07:54San Francisco, to me, doesn't matter at this point.

07:57Arizona needs it.

07:59They're better.

08:02They need to get this tonight.

08:03I'm going to go with Fott and the Snakes in the desert over Webb.

08:07It won't be easy.

08:08He keeps the ball down.

08:10He doesn't give up a lot of runs.

08:11He doesn't give up a lot of home runs, so I think it's going to be a great game.

08:16I think both of these pitchers can deal.

08:18I'll take Fott and the Diamondbacks.

08:21The Padres can clinch a playoff berth tonight in Los Angeles against the Dodgers, Scotty,

08:26and they can get themselves to within two in the NL West.

08:30Now, if they ever swept the Dodgers here, Scotty, they could be even in the NL West,

08:34but that's a big task.

08:35They've got to start with it tonight.

08:36Michael King against Landon Knack at Chavez Ravine, minus $1.20 for the Dodgers, even

08:41money for the Padres, and an eight and a half.

08:43I'll take King and the Padres at even money.

08:48I think Knack, they have so many average pitchers, and that's their downfall, if you ask me.

08:56I know they've got the bats.

08:57I know they've got the defense.

08:59I know they've got Otani.

09:00I know they've got Betts.

09:01I know they've got Freeman, but their pitching, to me, is going to be a problem, and I mean

09:08the starters and the middle relief and the end of the game.

09:12I think seven, eight, and nine, they have problems, and I think it's going to catch

09:16up to them in the end.

09:18Their injuries to their pitchers will be their undoing.

09:21Now, a lot of people think they're still going to win the World Series.

09:25I take the field.

09:27If you don't have pitching, you don't win it.

09:29That's all I know.

09:30If you don't have the pitching, you're not going to get it done.

09:32It'll become your worst nightmare.

09:35Here's the games that don't matter.

09:37There's only really four of them with no implications, although the final series in Oakland at the

09:41dump starts tonight with the Rangers, the last three games at the dump here over the

09:46next couple days.

09:47Yeah, I take the A's tonight at the ashtray.

09:51I think the Rockies will win that game against Colorado, and whoever goes to the black hole

09:58loses.

09:59That's all I know.
