00:00The advice has been for many months now, please leave.
00:16Australian citizens should not be travelling to Lebanon that they've continued to do in
00:22recent months.
00:23We have had warnings, I have on I don't know how many occasions now said that if people
00:30can get out they should through commercial airlines while it's available.
00:36We continue to call for de-escalation, we have been saying for months that people needed
00:40to leave and people do need to leave and we can't be clearer than that and we also want
00:50there to be restraint here.
00:53We want to see a de-escalation in the region, we want to see a ceasefire both in Gaza and
01:00when it comes to Lebanon, we want to see a de-escalation there.
01:23In relation to Lebanon, I'm very worried about the escalation and calling for all parties
01:39to step back from the brink to de-escalate, we need a ceasefire so this can be sorted
01:45out diplomatically.
01:46But I have a very important message for British nationals in Lebanon which is the time to
01:52leave is now.
01:54The contingency plans are being ramped up but don't wait for those, there are still
01:59commercial flights, it's very important that they hear my message which is to leave and
02:04to leave immediately.
