00:00Joining me are some of the artists from Yvonne Speaks. Tell us a little bit about the film.

00:06What's the genesis of the film? What can audiences expect when they watch?

00:10It is a short film ensemble comedy, and it revolves around a married couple, Yvonne and

00:14Jeff. Jeff works at a company, he's about to get a promotion, big, big networking event

00:18coming up, and his wife, Yvonne, is a voiceover artist, and she loves accents, and just is

00:23really eccentric. But she also suffers from extreme crippling social anxiety. So what

00:27happens when you bring someone like that to your work job party? Hilarity ensues.

00:32Hilarity ensues. What do you think audiences are going to feel once they walk out of that

00:35theater?

00:36Hopefully a little relatability. I think a lot of us suffer, for the most part, like

00:39some type of social anxiety. So it's good to see that there's some characters over there

00:44that are having a really rough time, but getting it together still, or holding it together

00:48as much as they possibly can.

00:50Talk to me a little bit more about social anxiety. Is this a topic that we're talking

00:54about enough in the entertainment industry?

00:57I think people are talking about it enough, but I don't know that the conversations are

01:02taking place in the right rooms where real change can be affected. It's one thing when

01:05we're here talking about it, but a lot of the movers and shakers who really have the

01:09ability to influence how things are handled and how movements are made, they're still

01:13kind of doing their own thing. So we really need to just continue to have these talks

01:17and have films that spotlight it, whether it's a comedy or a drama, but these are all

01:21things, like Pac said, are relatable. So the more people see themselves in our films,

01:25the more we can really get the message to resonate, and I think eventually we're going

01:28to get to the ears that really need to hear it.

01:30What do you have to add about that importance of representation for all different kinds

01:33of things on the screen?

01:35So I would say I'm glad that we're gravitating away from the experts of being social, the

01:42masculine, the ones that are out there and that can just be so debonair all the time.

01:48This one over here, I think the message that the majority of the movies that are coming

01:51out now are showing at least a little bit of what it looks like in real situations,

01:56real social situations, so people can actually relate to it. I think that's where we should

02:00go with it, and that's where it's actually heading, I think.

02:03Well, I'd love to hear that, and congratulations to the both of you on your short premiering
