Poor goalkeeping gifted McLean the opener (4). It was mostly Thistle after that and Clyde seldom threatened. A Fleming header 20 secs after h-t made it 2-0. Lyle hit the bar (81) then Clyde scored from close in (83). Thistle went top and looked good enough to stay there for the rest of the season.
