00:00I'm reading from 1 Timothy 6, a very powerful portion of scripture.
00:07Verse 5 talks about perverse people, destitute of the truth, with corrupt minds who suppose
00:16that gain is godliness and from such we're encouraged to withdraw ourselves because the
00:23Bible says in 1 Timothy 6, verse 6, godliness with contentment is great gain.
00:31When you lack contentment and divine peace, you're always pursuing and chasing things,
00:38people, pleasure, substances, sexuality, whatever it may be, and you're never content.
00:48You're never settled.
00:50You're always chasing and restless and diseased, in other words, dis-at-ease, lacking divine
00:59peace, and therefore you have no ability to focus or have a place of rest.
01:06And therefore it's hard to be creative and productive because you're always restless
01:12and it's a demon spirit that's compelling and driving you to always pursue something
01:18else to pleasure you or to enhance your identity because your identity is insecure because
01:27you've not yet been settled and established and grounded and stabilized in Christ, the
01:33anchor and the rock of ages.
01:35And therefore because you don't know who you are in God's eyes, you've not connected with
01:39your creator, you lack stability and peace, and you're like the waves of the sea tossed
01:46to and fro and always on edge looking for something to satisfy you or to validate and
01:55affirm you when God has already done that because you're created in the image and likeness
02:01of God.
02:02And once you embrace that understanding that you are made in God's image, you're his son,
02:09you're his daughter, you're his child, and once you receive that understanding that you're
02:15loved by God the Father and that you can do no more to merit his mercy and grace and
02:22loving kindness, then you can rest and stop fighting and working and striving for a place
02:31of success as the world would say and just be at peace knowing that you're already successful
02:39and deemed approved and blessed by God just because of who you are, not because of what
02:45you do, and then you can be a human being, not a human doing, and then when you truly
02:51begin to do and act and move and live and in God have your being, then you'll truly
02:58be more productive and work from a place of love and life whereby you can birth and impart
03:04love and life to others in all that you say and do.
03:07Otherwise, if you're working from a place of insecurity, all of your striving and your
03:11work and your efforts will not impart love, will not impart life, it will just impart
03:16strife and the disease that you possess and carry within because we can only give what
03:22we've got and we can only release what's inside of us and oftentimes people can try to fake
03:28the funk and put words out there that really they don't live or they don't embody or carry
03:36the essence of nor exude and manifest in their presence so ultimately the spirit that we
03:46carry will impart and show forth who we're connected to whether it is our internal identity
03:55crisis and mischief and instability and forever anxiety of chasing and pursuing things which
04:04will never satisfy us whereas if you're content in God, the divine creator and heavenly father
04:11of all humanity and mankind and the creator of the universe, your destiny is sure and
04:17secure in him because when you're connected to God the father, he's the creator and he'll
04:22always be continuously giving birth to love and life and good things and prosperity and
04:28success will flow thereby and there out from the essence of God's heart and love and life
04:35for humanity and his children so that being said be content because the bible says godliness
04:42with contentment first timothy verse six is great gain because if you're not content
04:50it brings disdain to your personhood your self-image low self-esteem it'll drive you to
04:57do stupid things and spend and waste money frivolously thinking that you can enhance
05:03your identity which is a lie and a seduction and a deception because ultimately nothing
05:09that you can acquire no house no car no clothes no jewelry no person or arm candy or
05:17trophy wife or husband can ever uplift and exalt you to the status of what God almighty
05:24has already given you in Christ when you receive him you receive his love and newness
05:30of life as his only begotten child uniquely created and formed in fashion in his image yet
05:36unique and distinct and authentic as Jesus the first begotten of all God's children we can come
05:44into Christ and Jesus is not ashamed to call us his own brothers and sisters when we're born again
05:50and filled with the holy spirit that rose Christ from the dead and we come into the family of faith
05:56first timothy six verse seven for we brought nothing into this world for it is certain we can
06:01carry nothing out and having food and clothes we should thereby and therewith be content but they
06:07that are rich will fall into many temptations and snares and foolish and hurtful lusts which drown
06:14men in destruction and perdition first timothy six verse nine for the love of money is the root
06:20of all evil which while some have coveted after have erred from the faith and pierced themselves
06:29through with many sorrows many people are experiencing sorrow in life because they're
06:34not content they feel like they'll there's never enough they can never acquire and possess enough
06:40and into doing and pursuing these things and monetary gain they're losing their soul because
06:48the bible says in your patience Jesus said possess your soul if you can possess your soul and be
06:55made whole third john chapter one verse two says as your soul prospers because it's God's desire
07:01that you be in health and prosper as your soul prospers so too will your life prosper from the
07:07inside out the world seeks to accumulate stuff and flaunt it from the outside to thereby feel good
07:17about themselves on the inside but God's kingdom works from within Jesus said the kingdom of God is
07:23not uh coming by observation it's within you righteousness peace and joy and the holy ghost
07:29so get that right possess your soul be made whole receive the peace and the love of God and let the
07:35life of God flow forth from you let that internal adjustment come like when you go to a chiropractor
07:41and your neck's out of order and you have a kink in your back or your spines needs to be realigned
07:46let that internal adjustment come right now in Jesus name and let that internal peace be
07:53established in Christ the prince of peace and let there be a divine release from that spirit of fear
07:58that demon tormenting spirit of fear that's told you you're not enough you're not good enough you
08:03need to acquire you need to obtain you need the affirmation and the praise of man no you don't
08:08if you've got the affirmation the praise the love and the and the and the image of God and
08:14his very likeness and his unconditional love radiate radiating around you and in you and for
08:21you and through you and residing within you by the spirit of Christ that rose Jesus from the dead
08:28you have life more abundantly right there in that alone and thereafter you can embody his nature and
08:35his divine likeness and partake of his goodness daily and step into the blessings as God drops
08:42those internal uh internal image images and visions and the reality of what God has for you
08:51to do each and every day he'll give you an assignment he'll give you direction he'll give
08:54you inspiration and then you just follow it you don't agonize and and overly worry you just do
09:02what God tells you to do every day and you abide in him divine Christ Jesus and you bear life
09:09eternal and fruitfulness will occur naturally and organically and spontaneously and serendipitously
09:17and you don't have to strive and struggle for it you just abide in God and let your gifts talents
09:22and abilities that he's already given you come to the forefront and you'll be true to your true to
09:26God authentic self and thereby you will uh possess your soul be made whole and as the Bible says in
09:33first timothy 6 verse 11 oh man or woman of God flee the the the lusts and the vanity of the flesh
09:42and the pursuit of riches and follow after righteousness godliness faith love patience
09:50meekness fight the fight the good fight of faith lay hold of eternal life where until you are
09:57called and have professed a good profession before many witnesses and paul the apostle said
10:05his son timothy in the faith i charge you or command you in the sight of God who quickens in
10:11other words inspires and rejuvenates and energizes all things and before Christ Jesus who uh before
10:21Pontius Pilate and his witnesses had a good confession that we keep the commandment of God
10:31without spot being unrebukable until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ and that he he most
10:41certainly is the blessed only pope in heaven and earth the king of kings and the lord of lords
10:47so when we abide in Christ we have immortality we have eternity we have
10:53life more abundantly and we dwell in him and we bear forth fruit naturally through the love and
11:00the life within us just like animals they they re-multiply and bees and birds they pollinate
11:10and cross pollinate and cause fruit to be born from the seeds of the of the fruit and we have
11:18vegetation and we have so much in the natural realm that resembles the spiritual life that
11:25God has promised us in Christ that we don't have to agonize about being fruitful it just occurs
11:30naturally as we abide in him and live our lives when we have our hearts established in his grace
11:38faith and peace thereafter we prosper and produce and remain and live productive
11:46fruitful lives so be blessed and let that internal adjustment happen and occur for you now
11:53and may God cause you to in your patience possess your soul be made whole and stand strong
12:01not because you have to or want to because Christ is in you and he will uplift and uphold
12:07and sustain you by his love life and spirit and propel you forward into his purpose whereby you
12:15will produce be productive and prosper so be at peace be content possess your soul be made whole
12:23experience that great gain of contentment don't chase after things with restlessness or anxiety
12:31be made whole be holy be happy be free from fear and live the abundant life in Jesus Christ and be
12:39blessed my friend God loves you God's for you if he before you who can be against you
