00:00Hi, I'm John Howarth, one of the assistant headteachers here at Birmingham High School
00:04and we're looking to talk today about the BHS Foundation, what we have launched this
00:08year and we're really excited about and we are looking for some support if anyone's out
00:13there to help. So there's three elements of the foundation. We've got opportunity for
00:17our students to experience new events and experiences they wouldn't have necessarily
00:21received before. So if there's any businesses that can support us with that, whether it's
00:26theatre, football, going to a nice restaurant, anything like that would be fantastic. The
00:31second part of the foundation is on the community side, so we're really looking to develop our
00:36community links with elderly people's home, local football clubs, whether it be litter picking,
00:43anything we can help out and we're looking to improve. And finally is the charity side
00:48and we're really proud to say our children's charity this year is Pendleside Hospice and
00:52we've already raised hundreds of pounds already for such an amazing cause. So hopefully you can
00:58support us in helping the foundation to be a fantastic opportunity for our school and our students.
