Got Stink Bugs? Here’s What to Do

As the weather gets colder, brown marmorated stink bugs will attempt to enter people’s homes for the winter. Veuer’s Matt Hoffman reports on what you can do about this pest.

00:05The brown marmorated stink bug is known to enter people's homes once the weather starts getting

00:09colder, and according to USA Today, their pheromones can attract others of their kind.

00:14The EPA says that although they can be dangerous to crops, they don't bite people or animals and

00:19won't damage your home. However, true to their name, they can release an unpleasant smell if

00:23you squish them or if they feel threatened. So what can you do about them? Your best bet is to

00:28seal up entrances to your home so that the bugs don't enter in the first place. Nextar reports

00:33that not all insecticides will work on stink bugs. The EPA recommends vacuuming them up,

00:38and USA Today says you can also try spraying them with soapy water.

00:42And of course, if all else fails, you can always call in an exterminator.
