Opposition will try to destabilise unity government no matter what, says Zahid

The unity government will remain steadfast despite attempts by the Opposition to destabilise it, says Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.  The Barisan Nasional chairman and Umno president made this statement on Sunday (Sept 22) in response to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's challenge for Perikatan to table a motion of no confidence against him. 00:08I am sure that if there is a vote of confidence or a vote of no confidence at all,

00:16the National Government has a way to find some improvements to shake up the existing government.

00:31However, the Joint Government with 153 support from MPs,

00:38it is more than two thirds, because two thirds is 148 members.

00:44And we are sure that the solidarity in this Joint Government will continue to be strong and unwavering,

00:55no matter what the opposition in the National Government tries to do.
