This comes days after two Georgia mothers died due to a lack of access to legal abortions. The deaths of Amber Nicole Thurman and Candi Miller were deemed preventable by the state's maternal mortality review committee and occurred due to complications from Georgia's six-week abortion ban. Harris has centered reproductive rights in her presidential campaign, blaming Trump for appointing Supreme Court justices who overturned Roe v Wade.
