The Well 2023 Horror/Thriller Movie Review

00:00Hello everyone, this is Paul Branson here, and I just watched a movie called The Will.

00:07It's a 2023 movie, so I never heard of it. It's a low-budget film, and there's some pretty good

00:14stars in here that you will recognize, and there's some also new people that have never

00:19done a movie before that are also in this film. It's a low-budget film. I wasn't too keen of the

00:25ending, and I also think that they overused the music a little too much, even so it was fairly

00:31creepy, and it was actually gory too. It's one of those films that had a really interesting concept

00:38for a movie. Now, if you've never seen the movie Arc the Clown, they're coming out with the third

00:43one. The main actress in this is absolutely incredible. She was in two, and she's going to

00:50be now in three, and I've only seen her once act before, and she was fantastic. Now, the concept

00:58of this movie is just a very simple concept, nothing really spectacular. The simple concept

01:06of this film, it's just, it's so simple, but you also know when you're on a bus going in the middle

01:14of nowhere for a job, and there's no one really around, there's something going to happen.

01:21There's something going to happen. This person that wanted this restorer to come and restore

01:29this painting, she wanted this best person to do it in the world, but unfortunately he couldn't

01:38come. He gave the job to his daughter. So her daughter is on the bus, and she's heading there

01:45to restore this painting. Now, just the scenery alone looks creepy, and the cinematography and

01:53how they edit it, it feels creepy right from the start when you first put the film on. It just

01:59feels that creepy vibe. As she's on the bus, three other people get on the bus, and some of them have

02:06not even acted before. So all the acting in here, I actually really, really liked. I like the dialogue.

02:13I like the creepy factors. You're not sure if it was a dream or reality. I really liked that, and

02:20as she was restoring the painting, but let me get back to the bus. Three people come on, and they

02:26start talking to her, or she starts talking to them. I'm not going to tell you the details, and

02:30when they reach the destination, these three people are going in the woods because they heard

02:34creepy stuff happen in these woods. Now, she now has to catch another bus to go to this big mansion

02:41house. Now, just alone, that small town was creepy. It's literally in the middle of nowhere, so you

02:51have that feeling of like, okay, what's going to happen next? Like, how can you make a story of

02:57restoring a painting? Well, they did a good job with it, but now these three people are in the

03:03woods, and they're filming a little documentary of weird stuff that happens in the woods. Now,

03:10something happens to them in the woods that's fairly violent and very, very good film. It's not

03:17too dark. It's not too bright. It's very well, good scene, but she, the woman here, was supposed to

03:26meet them later at a pub, and she didn't see them. The pub owner said, well, I've seen no one come in

03:33here. She starts taking a liking to the pub owner, so there could be a little bit of a romance going

03:41on here as well, and then there's a little bit of gore happening of people getting killed, and then

03:47the painting itself felt kind of creepy when she was kind of restoring it, and even the old woman

03:54who hired her to do it said it has to be done in two weeks. So, all this is happening, and it's a

04:01low-budget film, but it was really that feel of creepiness throughout the film and the gore that

04:09really got my attention. Yes, they overused the music, but I also liked the young girl that was

04:15in it, too. A shy young girl was in it. I'm not gonna say too much about her, but overall, it is

04:22a good watch, and it is interesting. I felt that the ending could have been much better, but I'm

04:29thinking there's things they couldn't do because of the budget, but the music to me kind of was

04:38overused, and I felt that the ending could have been much better, and right now, I think it has a

04:44fairly decent score on Rotten Tomatoes and IMBD. People are watching it, and they're enjoying it,

04:51and I can see why. It is very entertaining and especially well-acted. I personally give this

04:58movie between a 6 and a 7. I'm not sure between there. Now, if you took out the music and didn't

05:06use the music as much, I'd probably give it a 7 out of 10, and fix the ending. The ending to me

05:14was really weak, and there was a lot of things that could have been explained a little bit more,

05:19but there were some scenes that definitely scared me. Overall, I'd probably give it between a 6 and

05:26a 7. Not really sure between there. Out of 10, let's say a 6.6 out of 10. Not a great movie,

05:35and I probably would watch it again. Kind of wish some of the music was out, and overall,

05:43the ending should have been changed, but overall, I liked it, and the ending was weird though,

05:51but I still just think it could have been different with even more twists and turns.
