Weekend Sporting Headlines: Manchester City face Arsenal, Whilst Norris and Leclerc look to challenge in Singapore

Daniel Wales looks ahead to the biggest sporting stories of the weekend.

00:00In the Premier League on Sunday, league leaders Manchester City welcomed Arsenal in an early title clash at the Etihad.

00:07Manchester World reporter Michael Plant gave an injury update for the Blues following their draw against Inter Milan in the Champions League.

00:14I'm recording this video straight after the game, so I don't know any update in terms of team news.

00:20But Kevin De Bruyne came off at half time, went down at the end of the first half, appeared to clutch his leg, seemingly picked up a knock.

00:28We'll have to find out. Pep Guardiola provides more information on that in his press conference in, well, the next 15 minutes or so.

00:33Savino also went off at half time. He's had really bad luck with injuries since he's come in in the summer.

00:38So we'll have to wait and see if there's any update on both of those players.

00:41Local TV reporter Duncan Falconer was then on hand to preview the encounter from an Arsenal perspective

00:47and made clear that the Gunners would need to press for the win in order to assert themselves as title contenders.

00:54Yeah, I think ultimately that 0-0 draw, as good as it seems against a team like Man City,

01:00that could be put down to what cost us the league last season.

01:05So getting a point at the Etihad is a great thing for most teams.

01:11However, as we found out last season, sometimes that's not good enough.

01:14We've got to try and go for a win.

01:16But being realistic, we probably will be pending for large parts of that game.

01:21How good Man City are, you don't expect to be in charge of the game the whole way through.

01:28It was good practice for it yesterday, but as good as Spurs are at the minute,

01:32Man City are a whole different animal. They're so much better.

01:37I'd say I'd take a draw going into it, but at the same time, that might not be enough come the end of the season.

01:43Moving to Formula One, this weekend's Singapore Grand Prix will once again provide Landon Norris of McLaren

01:48and Charles Leclerc of Ferrari the chance to close in on Drivers' Championship leader Max Verstappen.

01:53Leclerc and Norris have led the way in the practice sessions on Friday,

01:57highlighting that their cars have the performance going into the final practice and then qualifying on Saturday.

02:03Given Singapore's nature as a street circuit, overtaking opportunities are limited,

02:07and qualifying well can give a strong advantage heading into Sunday's Grand Prix.

02:12Mercedes driver George Russell crashed in practice on Friday,

02:15with team-mate Lewis Hamilton also having difficulty in getting the best out of his car.

02:20Championship leader Verstappen also struggled on Friday and did not appear to have good pace heading into the weekend,

02:25as he looks to finish ahead of his championship rivals and extend his lead

02:29as the season heads into the final stretch of races.

02:36Finally, in domestic cricket, Surrey have won Division One of the county championship for the third year running,

02:43following victory over Durham at the Oval.

02:46In doing so, they pipped Somerset to the title, who had to beat Lancashire to have any chance of victory,

02:52but failed to do so, losing by 168 runs at Old Trafford.
