00:00The Banu Abbas family has gained great importance not only in the Arab world but also in Islam.
00:08This family ruled a large part of the world for about 500 years.
00:13Until the year 820, the Abbasid Caliphate was the most powerful government in the world.
00:18The Abbasid family is present in a large number in the northern areas of Pakistan such as Azad-e-Jammu, Kashmir, Mari, Kahuta, Abbottabad, Hazara and Rawalpindi.
00:30According to an estimate, about 300,000 Abbasid tribes live in the mentioned areas.
00:36This family has also gained peace in India, Syria and Iran.
00:40The Al-Abbas tribe, which lives in the north-east of Takrit in present-day Iraq, also belongs to the Abbasid family.
00:47During the time of the Prophet, there were different tribes of the Arabs.
00:52One of these tribes was the Quraish.
00:55The Quraish were divided into two more smaller tribes, two of which were famous.
01:00One was Banu Umayyah and the other was Banu Hashim.
01:03Muawiyah and his son Yazid belonged to Banu Umayyah, while Banu Abbas belonged to Banu Hashim.
01:10The Prophet was also from the Banu Hashim tribe.
01:13After the end of the Rashidah Caliphate, these two tribes established two great empires in their own time.
01:20One was the Sultanate of Banu Umayyah and the other was the Abbasid Caliphate.
01:24The Abbasid Caliphate was established through a movement that was against the Banu Umayyah.
01:29Since the Banu Abbas tribe belonged to the Banu Hashim tribe,
01:33Banu Hashim considered themselves more worthy of the caliphate because the Prophet was from this tribe.
01:40The two brothers of the Abbasid family, Al-Safa and Abu Ja'far Al-Mansur, established this caliphate in 750 and it ended in 1258.
01:51The word Abbasid is a family name, which is from the progeny of Hazrat Abbas bin Abdul Muttalib.
01:57Hazrat Abbas was the uncle of the Messenger of Allah and his family belonged to the Banu Hashim.
02:03That is, the Abbasids are first the Hashimites and then the Quraishites.
02:07The Abbasid tribe in Pakistan is one of the progeny of Hazrat Abbas,
02:11which came out of the Arabian Peninsula in different parts of the caliphate and settled in Pakistan, including remote areas.
02:20The caliphate was settled in a very large and prosperous area.
02:24During its heyday, the Abbasids had a bank of 1 crore square kilometers.
02:30It was spread from present-day Pakistan and Afghanistan in the east to the borders of France in the west.
02:36The Abbasids ruled these large and prosperous areas with full glory for 500 years.
02:43But one thing is worth mentioning here.
02:45That is, the family of Banu Abbas had a very big role in making the Iranians rule.
02:50Because the Iranians always hated Banu Umayyah.
02:54With the help of the Iranians, the Banu Abbasid family established the caliphate, but did not allow them to become too powerful.
03:01The Abbasids, under their own influence, pushed the Turks forward to reduce the influence of the Iranians.
03:08The Turks gradually became so powerful that they themselves became a disaster for the Banu Abbasid.
03:14And they also refused to listen to the caliph's order.
03:17The real reason for the decline of the Abbasids was not their rulers, but the Turks.
03:23The Turks, including the Abbasid army, had weakened the central government.
03:28And finally, in 1258, the reign of the grandson of Mongol conqueror Genghis Khan, Hilaku Khan, came to an end.
03:36The Mongol army destroyed the center of the caliphate, Baghdad.
03:40And the last caliph of the Abbasid caliphate, Mohtasim Billah, was also killed.
03:45In this way, the Islamic world was deprived of a great empire and international power forever.
03:52After the destruction of Baghdad, the Banu Abbasid family migrated to Egypt to save their lives.
03:58Some of the Abbasid tribes in Pakistan migrated from Egypt for trade.
04:05They mostly traded clothes, perfume, and jewelry.
04:10In 1232, they also built a colony near Delhi.
04:15During the reign of Abbasid Caliph Harun al-Rashid, some Abbasids came to Elchi, Tajir, India, and Teksila.
04:22There they also built a mosque and started the propagation of Islam.
04:26And during their reign, for the first time in the history of India, the Holy Qur'an was translated into Hindi.
04:33There are many tribes of the Abbasid family in Pakistan, one of which is the Dund Abbasid tribe.
04:39The grandfather of Dund Abbasid is Sardar Zaraab Khan.
04:43Sardar Zaraib Khan or Sardar Zaraab Khan, in 134 Hijri, joined the Abbasid government in Herat and became the ruler of the province.
04:53During the reign of Abbasid Caliphate, Herat, the province of Afghanistan, was one of the best and wealthiest cities in the world.
05:01At that time, the ruler of Kashmir worked under the rule of the ruler of Herat, who stopped spending or paying taxes.
05:09And for his survival, an army was sent under the leadership of Zaraab Abbasid.
05:14Zaraab Khan Abbasid overthrew the throne of the king of Kashmir and appointed a new king instead.
05:21And after marrying the daughter of the new king, he took permanent residence in the area of Daraan Kote.
05:27And from here his progeny spread in the surrounding areas.
05:31In the districts of Hazara, Tanawal, Mari, Rawalpindi and many other areas, the children of Zaraab Khan Abbasid have spread.
05:39The Abbasid nation is Kashmiri on the mother's side and Arabic on the father's side.
05:44Zaraab Abbasid's son's name was Akbar Ghai Khan.
05:48There is still a record of sons near Akbar Ghai Khan's tomb.
05:53Akbar Ghai Khan and his father Zaraab Khan's tomb is present in Daraan Kote.
05:58The names of a few sons of Akbar Ghai Khan are Daloos Khan, Hans Khan, Sarada Khan, Kanoli Khan, Baran Khan, Kundar Khan, Hazari Khan, Jajar Kanal, Sala Khan, Kaur Khan, Akar Khan, Hakim Khan and Mualim Khan.
06:13More branches of the Abbasid family are among the generations of these personalities.
06:18The state of Bahaulpur is located in the south-west of Punjab and the north-east of Sindh, which is called Hakumra Abbasid.
06:25And in the same way, the Qalora family has also been ruling in Sindh and it is also Abbasid.
06:31It is known from these Abbasid rulers of that era that after the death of Baghdad's last Abbasid caliph,
06:38the children of Hazrat Abbas migrated from the land of Iraq and settled in the roads of Khurasan and Makran.
