# Secret codenames used by immigration officers in counter setting racket, says MACC

Bribes given to immigration officers in the counter setting investigation had codenames based on the nationality of the foreigners being brought in.

During a press conference at the MACC headquarters on Wednesday (Sept 18), Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) chief commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki said the amount of bribes are between RM200 and RM2,500 for each foreigner.

02:09Sixth, in order to pass the counters, agents or syndicates will bring foreigners to their destination.

02:18Based on our investigation, the amount of bribes paid per pack is between RM200 and RM2500.

02:32For the residents of Bangladesh, RM2500 with the code name Schoolboy.

02:37Second, Myanmar RM1500 with the code name Junta.

02:45Third, Pakistan RM1300 with the code name Carpet.
