01:29but the other politicians sitting in our opposition,

01:32and I believe that the politicians sitting in the government branches,

01:36we have brought this politics to such a level

01:38that we are not ready to raise our hands.

01:43in front of the world, in front of the nation, in front of you,

01:46this is my effort.

01:48When between the government and the opposition,

01:52the unfortunate incident that took place in the parliament,

01:55because of which the entire parliament,

01:57on the benches of the government and in the opposition,

01:59we took a stand and made a committee

02:02so that we can take input from all the politicians,

02:07whether it is a reform of our institution

02:09or a reform of some other institution,

02:11we wanted, it was our effort once again,

02:14that PTI should come

02:16and adopt a positive political character in the opposition.

02:22their leader gave such a statement,

02:27which again, that path, that space,

02:30of the opposition, of those communities,

02:32and our conversation,

02:34he sabotaged it.

03:04we pass this constitutional amendment with their input.

03:15But what we feel, and I hope that time proves us wrong,

03:21PTI is doing it for the sake of the opposition.

03:29on the basis of a positive character.

03:35The constitutional amendment should be fulfilled.

03:40That day, the constitutional amendment was not approved

03:42that Maulana should not agree to certain things.

03:45Is it okay that Maulana went to you the night before

03:56Without Maulana Fazl Rehman's consensus,

03:59it is impossible for us to pass this constitutional amendment.

04:33Pakistan People's Party also had an engagement

04:36of one or two weeks with the government.

04:39We tried to explain to them that

04:42first, we believe that

04:44there should be clean and succinct judicial reforms,

04:49constitutional court,

04:51review of the 19th Arvin,

04:54these components should be there.

04:56And if there are any other issues,

04:58then they should be raised in their own context.

05:07if I want to make my own calls to the government,

05:12or if I want to give my opinion on the judicial appointments process,

05:18then I will have to accept their points as well.

05:20Similarly, Maulana Fazl Rehman

05:23had to be engaged in the same way.

05:25Maulana Fazl Rehman's Jamaat,

05:28after coming to that committee,

05:30the raw draft that the government has,

05:41or if there was any input from the rest of the committee members,

05:45we sat down and if we could come to a consensus,

05:49two-thirds by minimum,

05:51then we had to get it passed.

06:00We have been waiting since 2006 to bring this amendment.

06:05If we wait for a few more days, then there is no harm in that.

06:09But of course, there is a need to engage with Maulana Fazl Rehman.

06:13The Pakistan People's Party and Maulana Fazl Rehman's Jamaat,

06:17which came together,

06:19the original draft of the Pakistan People's Party,

06:26which we prepared with this reference,

06:28with reference to the constitutional court,

06:32for implementing the Charter of Democracy,

06:36we will put that in front of the JUI.

06:41And the JUI is also working on its own draft.

06:46So if we can make a consensus document between our two drafts,

06:52then perhaps it will be easier for us to cross that two-thirds majority.

06:58This may take a month or two?

07:01I will try to get it done as soon as possible.

07:05But because this is not a wish of today or tomorrow,

07:11my priority is that we achieve what we want to achieve.

07:16If we want to take Maulana Fazl Rehman with us,

07:23then perhaps it will not take a month or two.

07:26But this is Maulana Fazl Rehman's desire,

07:29and I think it is a legitimate desire from his perspective,

07:33that we not only bring the government together,

07:36but also have the input of the PTI.

07:45My point of view is that these reforms may or may not happen.

07:51But if we work with an open heart and with a good intention,
