Migrant Ahmed fled Sudan, made it across the Mediterranean in a boat, walked from Italy to France and now lives in a makeshift camp in Calais.

CGTN’s Ross Cullen spoke to him.

00:00In one of the migrant camps in Calais, we meet Ahmed. He agreed to speak to us, but not on camera.
00:06He fled Sudan, made it across the Mediterranean in a boat, and then walked from Italy to France.
00:12He now lives in a makeshift camp in Calais.
00:15I leave Sudan according to the war. The people are killing the people and burning the houses, taking everything you have.
00:31He is 18 and left his family who were in a refugee camp in Chad. He has tried twice to get to the UK by crossing the Channel.
00:39These men say that when the weather is right, they will get a call, giving them a time and a place.
00:45The second time I remember, they didn't find us exactly. We entered in the water and we were going and the engine finished and we came back.
