00:08Valheim pits you against a harsh world full of mythical creatures and brutal bosses, so
00:13it's tough out there if you're going it alone. But, if you want to take a few shortcuts
00:17to success, there are plenty of cheats you can use to even the odds.
00:21By using Valheim's console commands, you can become invulnerable, teleport, reveal
00:25the entire map, and a whole lot more. In this video, I'll show you how to implement
00:30the best examples, with a full, exhaustive list of cheats available in our written guide.
00:40All of these commands are for single player mode only, and we don't know how using them
00:43could affect your saved games, so cheat at your own risk.
00:48Before you can use cheats in Valheim, you need to activate the console by setting it
00:51as a launch option in Steam. To activate it, right-click Valheim in your Steam library
00:56and select Properties. Now look for the Launch Options field. In that, type "-console",
01:02then close the General tab. In-game, you need to press F5 to open the console, type dev
01:07commands, and press Enter. To deactivate cheats, type dev commands and press Enter again.
01:13If you want to easily find a certain biome, or you're just curious to see what your
01:17unique world looks like in full, Explore Map will fully clear the fog on your map.
01:22Reset Map hides it again, but that includes the parts of the map you've cleared yourself
01:26through normal exploration, so be warned. You can also master the art of teleportation.
01:33Start by learning your current X and Z coordinates. Enter POS to reveal the coordinates of the
01:38place in which you're currently standing. If you then enter GOTO, followed by the X
01:43and Z coordinates, you'll be teleported to that location. Use POS to make a note of
01:48all the best spots in your world, so you can get the most from teleporting.
01:55To quickly discover the best parts of your map for future teleports, just enter Debug
01:59Mode. Press Z to activate Flight, and use Space and Control to raise and lower yourself.
02:06Debug is perhaps the most powerful cheat in Valheim, as you can also kill all nearby enemies
02:10by pressing K, or build with no resource cost by pressing B.
02:14If you're looking to get creative in Valheim, you can spawn pretty much any item you like.
02:21For example, here we are spawning 50 of the first boss Ikthyr. Not advised. If you want
02:29to spawn more practical items, all you need to do is enter SPAWN, followed by what you
02:33want, followed by a number. You can even spawn Haldor the Trader, or give yourself a few
02:39wolves and tame them instantly by entering TAME as a cheat.
02:43It's important to know that any item you want to spawn is case sensitive, so make sure
02:48to enter them exactly as we've listed them on screen and on the website. For a full list,

02:57Zipping all over the world and spawning lots of monsters can be dangerous, so enter GOD
03:01if you want to make yourself invincible to all damage if things get a little bit wild.
03:07Whether you just need a helping hand, you're trying to create the most elaborate Valheim
03:11world possible, or just fancy seeing how long you last against all of the game's bosses
03:15at the same time. Yeah, not so long in my case.
