This is the moment a groom surprised his gran by asking her to walk him down the aisle.

Andrew Bacon, 32, shares a close bond with his grandmother Margaret Bacon, 83, and he wanted to honour her in unique way.

So asking her to walk him down the aisle alongside his mother felt like the prefect gesture.

Heartwarming video captured by Andrew's now wife Erin Bacon, 31, shows Margaret's emotional reaction.

Andrew, a truck driver from Blacktown, Australia, said “I didn’t want to do the traditional thing and wait at the altar.

"I wanted to walk down the aisle with my nan and mum and have and have a little special moment for myself.

“It was our way of making sure all the special people in our lives felt included.”

Andrew and Erin have been together for over eight years and the couple tied the knot in May.

Erin, a sales manager, said the gesture was deeply meaningful for her as well.
