McDonald’s $5 Value Meal Returns Through December As Low-Income Consumers Seek Deals

McDonald’s has extended its $5 value meal into December across most U.S. markets, aiming to win back budget-conscious consumers. Franchisees voted to prolong the deal, with 80% of locations agreeing to extend it, and more votes are expected in the coming weeks.  Local promotions will also be available, with deals featured in the McDonald's app. The restaurant sector has focused on value offerings to attract diners amid rising inflation, with similar moves by Burger King and Starbucks.
