Trump posted on Truth Social Wednesday that the media “wasn’t giving the credit that was due” on his debate performance, despite polls indicating most viewers thought Vice President Harris won. Veuer’s Matt Hoffman has the story.

00:00Donald Trump is not happy with Tuesday's debate and its coverage.
00:04The following day, he posted on Truth Social,
00:06people are just starting to give me credit for having a great debate.
00:09The voters and voter polls showed it,
00:11but the fake news media wasn't giving the credit that was due.
00:14In fact, a 538 average of three post-debate polls
00:17showed that 57% of viewers thought that Vice President Kamala Harris won the debate,
00:22with only 34% giving the victory to Trump.
00:25Trump also faced criticism from some of his own prominent supporters,
00:28including Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
00:30Vice President Harris clearly won the debate in terms of her delivery,
00:36her polish, her organization, and her preparation.
00:40President Trump wins in terms of his governance,
00:47but he didn't tell that story.
00:48Trump also criticized the debate's moderators,
00:51saying they should fire everybody at ABC Fake News.
00:54It remains to be seen whether or not the two candidates will participate in a rematch.
00:58In a conversation with Sean Hannity after the debate,
01:01Trump said that showing up for a second one would be a sign of weakness.
01:05The reason you do a second debate is if you lose, and they lost.
