00:00What does sustainability mean for Chiesi?

00:05For Chiesi, sustainability means the creation of shared value and therefore

00:09uniting the success of the company with the progress of society.

00:12And this concept, the concept of shared value for us, is synthesized by the motto

00:17Do good, do well and repeat, which is central in our new Sustainability Report 2023.

00:22At the end of 2023, there was an important organizational change at the corporate level.

00:28The teams of Sustainability and Strategy were united in a single function

00:32to give a strong message that sustainability is an integral part of our business.

00:37Together with our Sustainability Report, we published the Climate Transition Plan

00:43which defines our roadmap to reach net zero by 2035,

00:48in particular net carbon emissions for scope 1 and 2 by 2030

00:53and for scope 3, therefore, indirect emissions by 2035.

00:57These commitments derive from a journey of several years that started in 2018

01:03with the adoption of the corporate status, of the corporate form of Benefit Corporation

01:09in Italy, America and in 2021 in France and the path of measurement and improvement

01:16of our social and environmental performance by adopting the B Corp standard

01:20which allowed us to obtain the B Corp certification in 2019 and renew it in 2022.
