00:30Why is father taking so long to come home today?
00:35Peace be upon you.
00:37Peace be upon you too.
00:38Why are you so late today?
00:40I had some work to finish, my child.
00:42Are you ready to listen to another story of the Prophet?
00:46Yes, father.
00:47Inshallah.
00:48Tonight I will tell you the story of the Prophet himself.
00:52Now listen carefully.
00:54Bismillah.
01:00The story of the Prophet himself.
01:06After the flood, the heirs of the Prophet Noah
01:28inhabited the world.
01:37The Prophet Noah had many grandsons.
01:40In fact, he had many great-grandsons too.
01:44That is why the world's population increased rapidly.
01:48Many of them settled in Yemen.
01:52It is said that the people who settled there were the heirs of Iram.
01:58They were one of the grandsons of the Prophet Noah.
02:02They were called the Aad.
02:05They were tall, strong and hardworking.
02:11They were famous for their hard work.
02:14Especially for building tall and beautiful buildings.
02:18The people of the Aad tribe were rich from the beginning.
02:21They built tall and beautiful buildings on the nearby mountains.
02:28They were very proud of this.
02:31First of all, they were good Muslims.
02:35They worshipped Allah.
02:38But after a while, Satan misguided them.
02:43The people of the Aad tribe made idols out of stone.
02:47They started worshipping idols.
02:49They ignored the commandments of Allah.
02:53They started doing bad things along with worshipping idols.
02:59That is why Allah decided to send another prophet to the world.
03:05This time, Allah chose the Prophet Noah himself for this task.
03:10So that he could give reliable advice to the people.
03:14He said to the people, Allah has sent me for you.
03:19He has taught you everything.
03:22He has created this universe for you.
03:25He has given you children.
03:27He has given you animals.
03:29You should stop worshipping idols.
03:32Allah is One.
03:34And you should follow His commandments.
03:37But the people blamed him and said,
03:40Who are you to give us advice?
03:43Why should we listen to you?
03:44The Prophet said,
03:46I have been chosen to show you the way of Allah.
03:50Listen to me carefully.
03:52If you do not do this,
03:54I fear that Allah will punish you.
03:57The people did not listen to him and said,
04:00You are a liar.
04:02Why should we listen to a liar?
04:04The Prophet said to them,
04:06I am not a liar.
04:08The Aad people said,
04:10If you are not a liar and what you are saying is true,
04:12then prove it.
04:14Tell Allah to punish us.
04:16Hearing this, the Prophet was very sad and disappointed.
04:19He said loudly,
04:21I am not lying.
04:23I am the Prophet of Allah.
04:25But no one believed him and he left.
04:28The Prophet tried to explain to other tribes as well.
04:32What do you think?
04:34Do you think your house will last forever?
04:36Remember, it is Allah who has given us luck.
04:39He is my Lord and your Lord.
04:40And we should believe him.
04:42I have already warned you.
04:44If you do not follow the way of Allah,
04:46he will send others instead of you.
04:49Allah knows everything and listens to everything.
04:52But the elders of the tribe also called him a liar.
04:57The Prophet tried to explain to them again and said,
05:01I am not a liar.
05:03I am the Prophet of the Lord of this universe.
05:06I am the Prophet of Allah.
05:08I am telling you the will of Allah.
05:11And I am being honest.
05:14But they did not listen to the Prophet.
05:16And they turned away from him.
05:18And they continued worshipping idols.
05:21In the tribe of Aad, there were only a few people
05:24who listened to the Prophet.
05:26The Prophet himself realized that
05:29Allah will soon punish the people of the tribe of Aad.
05:33Allah punishes the disbelievers,
05:34irrespective of how rich they are,
05:36how cruel they are,
05:38or how pious they are.
05:40In the next few days,
05:42there was a terrible drought in the whole area.
05:44There were no clouds in the sky.
05:47And the sun was shining over the desert.
05:51The people of the tribe of Aad came to the Prophet and asked,
05:55Why is this drought?
05:57And the Prophet replied,
05:59Allah is very angry with you people.
06:01If you believe in him,
06:02he will accept you.
06:04And he will send rain.
06:06The people of the tribe of Aad laughed and said,
06:10You are a fool.
06:12The drought continued.
06:14The trees turned yellow.
06:16And the plants dried up.
06:18But the people continued worshipping idols.
06:21After many months,
06:23the people of the tribe of Aad did not receive a single drop of rain.
06:26The people of the tribe of Aad
06:28refused to accept Allah as their Lord.
06:30And they worshipped idols
06:32and asked for rain.
06:34But the drought continued for three years.
06:37One day, when the Prophet was worshipping Allah,
06:41Allah told him
06:43to gather his true companions
06:46and leave the tribe of Aad.
07:01Soon, a very big black cloud
07:04was seen in the sky of the tribe of Aad.
07:10The disbelievers did not realize
07:12that it was Allah
07:14who had sent this cloud to warn them.
07:17They thought that
07:19they would be able to receive rain
07:21through this black cloud.
07:23And then they started worshipping idols.
07:25Suddenly, the weather turned bad.
07:27In a dry and hot environment,
07:28extremely cold winds began to blow.
07:31These winds swept
07:33trees, plants,
07:35tents and even men and women.
07:37These winds continued to blow day and night.
07:40Now the people of Aad realized
07:42that this was Allah's punishment.
07:44And they started running.
07:46They ran to their homes to hide.
07:49But the winds were getting stronger
07:51and their homes became desolate.
07:54Now the people were sheltering under their own buildings.
07:58These winds were so strong
08:00that the people of Aad
08:02and the disbelievers
08:04were buried there.
08:06The storm continued to blow
08:08for eight days and seven nights.
08:11These merciless winds
08:13did not stop
08:15until the whole area was destroyed
08:17and all the disbelievers
08:19in the area of Aad
08:21were destroyed.
08:23Only Prophet Hud
08:25and his companions were safe
08:26and they followed the instructions
08:28of Allah the Almighty.
08:30They went to Hadramaut
08:32and started living there in peace.
08:34They worshipped Allah,
08:36their true master.
08:43Mashallah!
08:45This was a wonderful story.
08:47I am happy that you liked it.
08:49Will you not ask me any questions today?
08:52I was about to ask you.
08:54Are you ready?
08:56Yes, father.
08:58Alright. So tell me,
09:00where did Prophet Hud live?
09:02He lived in the area of Aad.
09:04This is the right answer.
09:06And now tell me,
09:08what did the people of Aad
09:10commit?
09:12Choose one of these.
09:14To gamble,
09:16to worship or to steal.
09:18Yes, the second one.
09:20To worship.
09:22Again, you are doing very well,
09:24my child.
09:26Now tell me,
09:28what did the people of Aad
09:30commit?
09:32Will you give me a hint?
09:34Yes, why not?
09:36Now choose one of these.
09:38To work,
09:40to sing
09:42or to dance.
09:44Yes, they were known to work.
09:46Again, the right answer.
09:48Alright.
09:50Here is the next question.
09:52What punishment did Allah
09:54give to the people of Aad?
09:56When the people of Aad
09:58made fun of Prophet Hud,
10:00Allah punished them
10:02with the wind
10:04which destroyed Aad.
10:06Very good, my child.
10:08Did Prophet Hud
10:10die in that storm?
10:12No, the Prophet
10:14and his followers were safe.
10:16This is the right answer,
10:18my child.
10:20Now it is time for me to go.
10:22I will tell you another story tomorrow.
10:24What story will you tell me tomorrow,
10:26Aamir?
10:28The story of Prophet Saleh?
10:30Yes, Aamir.
10:32After the destruction of Aad,
10:34the Thamud tribe settled there.
10:36Prophet Saleh lived there.
10:38Wow,
10:40this is very interesting.
10:42I will wait for tomorrow.
10:44Alright, go to sleep.
