00:00Full time here at Wembley and England have won 2-0 against Finland. Six points for a possible six
00:07to start the UEFA Nations League campaign here and this was another really assured display
00:12by England just as they produced in Dublin on Saturday in the 2-0 win over Ireland. It took a
00:18while to come the first goal of this match and it was scored of course by Harry Kane who looked
00:25absolutely possessed on this occasion of his 100th cap, just the 10th century in England's
00:30history. He was presented before the match with a commemorative 100th cap by Frank Lampard and
00:36Ashley Cole who also reached that landmark and he looked obsessed with the idea of scoring in
00:40this match and in the end ended up scoring the game's only two goals including by my reckoning
00:46one of the finest strikes, perhaps his finest strike in an England shirt technically speaking.
00:51That was the first goal which came from a lovely Trent Alexander-Arnott pass. He then received Kane,
00:57took the ball away from the defender and slammed it past the goalkeeper in off the crossbar.
01:01Alexander-Arnott by the way was a really, really key performer for England here. Line-breaking
01:06pass after line-breaking pass. He played fantastically and I think he will feel that
01:10he can really take that right back spot off Kyle Walker now once and for all. Of course he struggled
01:16to take it during Gareth Southgate's tenure but now Lee Carsley is in charge, interim charge at
01:22least and Trent Alexander-Arnott played really well here. There were also some good performances
01:26by Rico Lewis and Angel Gomez. Both of those were making their second England appearances so
01:31inexperienced at this level but that didn't show Lewis and Gomez both good
01:36and for England overall a really positive night.
