01:34which reduced the resources of the country.
01:37When the Israelites went to war,
01:39they used to take a box of gold with them.
01:41They did this because they were sure
01:44that this box would make them successful.
01:47They won every war.
01:49But one day, the Philistine army
01:51snatched this box from them.
01:53The Israelites not only lost the box,
01:56but also lost the war.
02:02When the king heard this news,
02:04he had a heart attack
02:06and he died immediately.
02:09The Israelites were now without a king.
02:11They were like a flock of sheep
02:13who had no shepherd.
02:16Then Allah sent the Prophet Shammil A.S. to them.
02:21The Israelites were very happy.
02:23They asked the Prophet Shammil A.S.
02:25to appoint a powerful leader
02:28so that he could take back his box from the Philistines.
02:32The Prophet knew their weakness and said,
02:35I am afraid that when the time of war comes,
02:37you will refuse.
02:39But the people assured him
02:41that they would be ready to fight in the way of Allah.
02:44That night, the Prophet asked Allah
02:46for the prayer of a guide.
02:48Then Allah informed the Prophet
02:50that He has chosen a man named Talut
02:53for the kingdom.
02:55The Prophet was worried and asked,
02:57how will I recognize him?
02:59Then Allah said,
03:01Shammil, do not worry.
03:03Talut will come to you.
03:06Shammil was instructed
03:08to give all the power to Talut.
03:11Talut was a tall, strong man
03:14who was intelligent.
03:16He lived far away from his father
03:19and worked there.
03:23One day, Talut and his servant
03:25were looking for their lost donkeys.

03:30to look for the donkeys,
03:32but were unsuccessful.

04:27that he is a holy and pure man.

04:34and he recognized that
04:36he is the same person
04:38who was chosen as the king of the Israelites.
04:40Talut asked the Prophet
04:42for his well-being.
04:44Then he inquired about his lost donkeys.
04:46The Prophet said,
04:47don't worry.
04:48The donkeys have gone to your father's field.
04:52Then the Prophet informed Talut
04:54that Allah has chosen you
04:56for the leadership of the Israelites.
04:58The Prophet said,
04:59Talut,
05:00now you take control of all the affairs.
05:03Take them all under one banner
05:05and protect them from their enemies.
05:09Talut was very surprised
05:11at such a great honor.
05:13It was a great responsibility.
05:15He said to the Prophet,
05:17they know nothing about leadership
05:19and they have no wealth.
05:22But the Prophet reassured him
05:25that it is Allah's will.
05:28The Prophet introduced Talut to the Israelites
05:31and said that he is your king.
05:33But the people were not happy.
05:36He belongs to the tribe of Binyamin.
05:38One shouted,
05:39he is not born rich.
05:42The second shouted,
05:43how can he rule over us?
05:45Our tribe has the right to rule
05:48and he has no wealth.
05:50But the Prophet replied in peace,
05:53Allah has certainly appointed Talut
05:56for the kingdom.
05:58Allah has made his knowledge
06:00and rank very high.
06:02Allah can give kingship to anyone.
06:06He is the most intelligent.

06:10the people demanded
06:12that if the treasure of the Prophet
06:14which had been lost for a long time
06:16is given to them,
06:18then they will accept Talut as their king.
06:21As soon as Talut got the kingship,
06:23he started assembling the army.
06:26He ordered that
06:27the one who is free of responsibilities
06:29will become a part of the army.
06:31Those who are building houses,
06:33those who are getting married
06:35and those who are doing business,
06:37should not join the army.
06:40He gave strict training to the army
06:42and told them to follow strict rules.
06:45After a few days,
06:46Talut set out to fight the Palestinians.
06:49After traveling for many days,
06:51he reached the bank of a river.
06:53Talut decided to test the army.
06:56He ordered,
