00:16Peace be upon you.
00:18Peace be upon you too.
00:20Did you finish your homework Amir?
00:22Yes, father.
00:24Very good.
00:26So are you ready to listen to the story
00:28Father, I want to know what happened to him in the desert?
00:31Ok, listen carefully
00:33Bismillah
00:40Prophet Moses and the voice of Allah
00:51Prophet Moses kept wandering in the desert for many days and many nights.
00:57He traveled to Midian, which was a city near Syria and Egypt.
01:03In the desert, there was no one with him except Allah the Almighty.
01:08If there was anything else, it was his belief.
01:11The hot sand burned his feet.
01:15But he continued to walk in fear of the soldiers.
01:19In this way, he walked for eight days and eight nights.
01:24Finally, the Prophet was successful in crossing the desert.
01:29And he reached the outskirts of Midian.
01:41After walking for a while, he reached a place outside the city where there was water.
01:47As soon as he reached the source of that water, he began to rest under a tree for a while.
01:53As soon as he breathed, he noticed that two women were standing next to his sheep.
01:59She was standing far away from him and hesitating to call people.
02:04The Prophet realized that these women needed help.
02:07Therefore, like a true man, he did not care about his thirst and went to them.
02:16Can I help you?
02:19Why are you standing here?
02:20He asked them.
02:22The elder sister replied,
02:24We have been waiting here until these men give us water.
02:28Why are you waiting?
02:30He asked again.
02:31We are helpless, he said.
02:33Our father is very old and he does not have the strength to face this crowd.
02:39If we go there, those strong men will push us back.
02:43When they quench their thirst for animals, then we will go there with our animals.
02:48This is our daily work.
02:50No.
02:52No.
02:58The Prophet took the cattle of the women and went to the source of that water.
03:02He entered there easily.
03:04When he reached the source of the water, he saw that the calves had covered the water with a big rock.
03:11The Prophet picked up the rock with one hand and began to give water to the cattle.
03:16When the people standing there saw him picking up the rock with one hand, they were amazed.
03:23And then he returned to the shade of the tree.
03:27Then he realized that he had forgotten to drink water.
03:30Oh Allah! He prayed.
03:32I will need whatever you can give me.
03:38When the daughters reached home earlier than usual, their father was surprised.
03:44The daughters told him in detail what had happened in Nakhlistan and how they reached home early.
03:50Now their father wanted to thank that stranger.
03:54So he sent his daughter to bring the stranger home.
03:59The daughter came to the Prophet and said,
04:04Our father wants to give you a reward for your kindness and he has called you to our house.
04:12She agreed and went to meet her father.
04:24When they reached home, the Prophet introduced himself and told them his life story.
04:32Then he told them why they had to leave Egypt.
04:35The old man said,
04:37Be grateful to Allah that you were able to run away from those traitors.
04:42Now you do not need to be afraid.
04:49The old man and his daughters liked the Prophet's good nature.
04:54They asked him to stay with them for a few days.
04:58The Prophet happily accepted their request.
05:06The guests soon learned that the Prophet was a trustworthy man.
05:10One day the old man went to him and said,
05:15I want you to marry one of my daughters.
05:18The Prophet was happy to hear this.
05:20But I have a condition.
05:22The old man said,
05:23You have to be ready to work for me for eight years.
05:28The Prophet was a stranger in a foreign land.
05:31He was tired and alone.
05:34So he agreed to their request.
05:41He married the daughter of the old man and took care of his cattle for ten years.
05:48Time passed by and he stayed away from his home and people for a long time.
05:53This ten-year period was very important for the Prophet.
05:57It was a time of necessary preparation.
06:09As Moses had promised,
06:11it had been ten years since he had started working.
06:15One day, he suddenly remembered his home.
06:19He remembered his family and the land of Egypt.
06:23He wanted to return to Egypt as soon as possible.
06:26That night, he went to his wife and said,
06:29We have to leave for Egypt tomorrow.
06:34His wife got ready and started packing her things.
06:38Moses, along with his family,
06:41left the land of Midian and started traveling through the desert.
06:54He traveled for many days and finally reached near Mount Sinai.
06:58I think we have lost our way, the Prophet said.
07:02The Prophet was confused.
07:05So he decided to stay there for the night.
07:12And then he started looking for wood to light a fire.
07:16While looking for wood, he reached Mount Sinai.
07:23There he saw a burning fire on the top of the mountain.
07:27Moses went towards the fire and heard a voice.
07:31O Moses, I am Allah,
07:36the Lord of this universe, the Messenger of Allah.
07:40The Prophet realized that Allah was speaking to him.
07:45So he kept walking towards the fire.
07:48Then Allah asked the Prophet to take off his shoes.
07:51Because he was standing on a pure land.
07:54Then Allah said,
07:56The Prophet has been chosen for a special purpose.
08:00And he was told to obey the command.
08:03What is in your right hand?
08:05Allah asked,
08:07This is my staff.
08:09I use it to break the leaves for my cattle.
08:14Throw your staff.
08:16He was given the command.
08:18As soon as the Prophet threw his staff down,
08:22it turned into a snake.
08:24Moses got scared.
08:26And he started running.
08:28Do not be afraid.
08:30Pick up your staff.
08:32Your staff will be like before.
08:35The Prophet was very afraid of the snake.
08:37But he trusted the voice.
08:39And he put his hand on the snake.
08:43He immediately turned into his staff.
08:46The fear of Moses was gone.
08:48And peace took its place.
08:50He realized that he was really speaking to Allah.
08:54Then Allah asked him to put his hand on his stick.
08:58The Prophet did as he was told.
09:02And when he took out his hand,
09:04his hands were shining.
09:06Then Allah told him to go to Egypt and face Pharaoh.
09:11He said,
09:13Pharaoh is arrogant now.
09:15And he is oppressing the Israelites.
09:17Moses was afraid that if he returned to Egypt,
09:20he would be arrested.
09:22He said,
09:24O Allah!
09:26A man was killed by me.
09:28I am afraid.
09:31I am afraid that they will kill me.
09:33Then Allah reassured him and said,
09:37Go and explain to them.
09:39Show them the way to truth.
09:41Take your brother Harun with you for help.
09:45They will not be able to harm you.
09:49Allah assured him that the Prophet will be safe.
09:54And he agreed.
10:00Then what happened?
10:02I will tell you that tomorrow.
10:05Mashallah!
10:07This was a very good story.
10:09Are you ready for the questions now?
10:11Yes, father.
10:13Now tell me,
10:15why did the Prophet have to leave Egypt?
10:17The Prophet had killed the Egyptian soldier.
10:20That is why he had to leave Egypt.
10:22Absolutely right.
10:24The Prophet had given a place to his residence in Midian.
10:28How did the Prophet find a place to live in Midian?
10:33The Prophet helped an old man in Midian
10:35to get water for his daughters.
10:37That is why he gave food and shelter to the Prophet.
10:40How long did the Prophet live in Midian?
10:43Eight years.
10:45No, ten years.
10:47Isn't that right?
10:49Absolutely right, my child.
10:51Now tell me the name of that mountain
10:53where the Prophet saw fire burning.
10:56That was Mount Tar.
10:58Well done, my child.
11:00I will see you tomorrow.
11:02Good night.
